Arby's — Restaurant in St. John

I want to preface by saying I understand all the COVID-19 employee situations and certain shortages. We expect some hiccups these days. However, the restaurant was not overly busy this night (no people dining in, a couple of cars in the drive-thru). It looked like there were 3 people working. They were out of several things / fountain drink flavors. Okay, COVID strikes again. But, our food was cold. You can't blame COVID for cold food. When my wife returned to the counter, they said it would take 3 minutes for fresh fries and sandwich. It was closer to 10 minutes. No apologies from the staff, but then again they werent very friendly from the beginning. Again, you can't blame COVID entirely for unfriendly staffs. We were not rude at any point. Places like Culver's and Chick-Fil-A get it right even in difficult times. Very...

The 2 person staff either hate each other or hate their jobs. We we never acknowledged by the angry girl working the drive thru and counter. She was nice when she took our order and when I asked for tea. The coworker making the sandwiches had to be called to do his job from the back. He huffed and puffed the entire time he was making 20 sandwiches for drive thru. By the time he got to my husband’s sandwich the meat was in a bunch on half his sandwich , he had to rework the meat to cover the bread. It was hotter inside the restaurant then outside. The bathroom was so cold I thought I was gonna get frostbite. Not that I expected it but we never got a thank you - have a nice day - nothing. I went to the st. John location on Monday night 8pm. It was fairly busy considering the time. The young man took my order over the intercom. He was the same one who greeted me at the window. Friendly, repeated my order and apologized for the minimal wait. He had to have me pull around for fresh fries. That same young man hustled, ran my order to my car and ran all the way back to the kitchen. He may have possibly been the only one covering/ working. Sooo impressed at his work ethic. He did this with a smile and personality. I haven't seen this type of character at a fast food place in a long long time. Arby's you got a great employee. I wish I would have gotten his name.
