We've been wanting to try this place as it's near our apartment. We've heard mixed reviews in the short time that it's been opened so we thought we'd wait a little bit and let it settle. Each time we walk by it looks pretty good so we decided to go for it tonight. It's not expensive, but it's not inexpensive either. It's about middle of the road. We ordered a Caesar to share and a large pizza on cauliflower crust. Cauliflower is an upgrade of $4. Whenn the pizza came out it was definitely small, so It appears there aren't variant sizes you get cauliflower crust. The waitress saw look in our face and also I think realize that this was a much longer than the others she apologized right away. We said it was fine as long as we weren't going to get charged for a large size. Do you realize that they need to update the menu description. In any case I expected that she would go back and talk to the manager and we would get the pizza at a small price or something to that effect. That's not what happened she went back talked to the manager came back and said he had comped the entire thing! That was totally unexpected and also totally unnecessary, but we were very grateful. The Pizza Hut South was actually very tasty And we would have gladly paid the full price for a pizza consisting with its size plus the upgrade. All I can say is that everybody we dealt with was super friendly and then there's no question we're going to be back. In fact I'll probably go back for lunch tomorrow to show my appreciation. They didn't even screw up and they still went out of their way to make us feel right about the meal. It's rare today and I'm glad to say that the food was great on top of the team being great.

I can't help but recommend this place based on this experience. If anything changes in subsequent visits all...

Hot Pizza Cold Beer is such a great addition to the MX District downtown! The vibe is super fun with their old school arcade games and fun wall art. Bar is great and so needed in that area!

Food is as wonderful as I expected coming from the incredible talent of Chef David Molina. The same magic he makes with barbeque, he does with pizza. Wonderful, out of the box options.

We started with the roasted garlic hummus and the house pizza rolls, both of which were outstanding. I am a big hummus snob and this stuff was legit! We added a couple of orders of wings (Buffalo and Garlic Parm) and a couple of guys in our group insist these are some of the best wings they have ever had.

We were with a big group, so we tried all of the salads and had them family style, so we got a little bit of each. While my fav was the Caesar, it seemed equally split between our group of 7 as to everyone's favorite. They were all great!

For pizza we had to have the Francosi, because what in the hell are mozzarella sticks like on a pizza - um...fantastic!!

We also had the Meat Sweats and the Margherita, both of which were great. The crust is SOOOOO good!!

We finished up with the Cannoli Dip, which was yummy, but didn't get its proper due because at this point we were so stuffed, we couldn't fully appreciate it. I did have a bite and I was sorry that I did because I WANTED MORE, but knew if I did, I might explode.

Host staff was friendly and super accommodating (we had a baby with us) and our server worked so hard to keep the food coming and the drinks flowing. She was amazing.

Fun, wonderful way to start our...

Second visit at HPCB and possibly my last. Just open for lunch so not busy. No one greeted me at the door so I went to the bar, where I stood and waited for the bartender to finish his conversation before greeting me. I asked if there was a special or slice of the day. I was told ya, "we have this, it's like a burger on a pizza." I ordered that, garlic bread and a fountain soda. I was given my soda in a plastic cup w/ lid and straw and told about 20 mins. My soda was gone by the time my order came out, in boxes. The music playing was good but as others came in the same tender asked everyone if they were dining in and sat them at a table and they got normal dine-in glasses. Ok.?. I'll eat it out of the boxes. I was also never advised of a slice/salad lunch special. Would have ordered that instead of the garlic bread. DO NOT order the slice of the day,. It was clearly made in preparation of lunch rush and burger toppings were added. It was cold and hard. Garlic bread was hot but average. Wish I had more beverage to wash it down but not once did anyone ask how I was doing. Bad experience. I've had the gimmick, PIMP slice when they 1st opened and it was good. I guess cause it was made when ordered.?. Restaurants all over St Louis are closing down. If this one doesn't do better, it's going to be...

I would like to first start by saying the beer was indeed cold, and the pizza was indeed hot — hence the name. I ordered the P.I.M.P. slice, and while its price initially gave me pause, I soon realized I was not paying for a mere meal, but for a cholesterol challenge. Presented on a cookie pan, the slice arrived in all its audacious glory. My utensil of choice? My very own personal pizza cutter — a fitting tool for a dish of this magnitude. The crust struck the perfect balance of crisp and chew, the sauce offered a subtle sweetness, and the cheese, rich and savory, crowned it all magnificently. Though extravagant in both size and spirit, this pizza did not sacrifice flavor for spectacle. It was indulgent, unapologetic, and wholly satisfying. And no matter what people tell you, size matters — at least here. “I don’t like food. I love it. If I don’t love it, I don’t swallow.” 8.5/10 ⭐️ ~ Anton Ego

If you’re in downtown St. Louis and craving delicious pizza with a side of fun, Hot Pizza Cold Beer is the spot. We were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes look. Peep the pizza toss in action! The pizza is mouthwatering. One thing I really loved was how the veggies still had a bit of crunch. The atmosphere here is casual and lively. It’s a perfect hang out spot. Shoutout to Mike Johnson for not only crafting another fantastic concept but also for his continuous investment in the St. Louis community. Along with Charlie Downs and Dave Molina, the team behind Sugarfire Smokehouse and Hi-Pointe Drive-In has really nailed it again with this spot. We’re lucky to have these folks bringing such great food and energy to the city. Can’t wait to go back!

Food was burnt. My son was experiencing muscle spasms while we were there and had to have ambulance to check him out. Owner/manager, man at the counter was not concerned with what we were going through, even came and knocked on the ambulance and the ambulance people told him the bill would be settled and was not important. I am attaching a picture to explain what was happening to my son. Original diagnosis by ambulance was an anxiety attack. After taking him to hospital back home, he is being transferred to Cardinal Glennon with a, potentially, life threatening condition. I would give zero stars if it were an option. We will not support this business again. Yes, I went in to pay the bill before we left.
