Overall: Aubergine is a 10/10 experience and I highly recommend it, be it for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends. This restaurant is a delight to all senses. Service is fast and friendly. The menu is varied, and all items are top notch. This is a place to come again and again.

I was so impressed with my visit I had to write a review for the first time in months!

FOOD:

There are many options that can please people of all palates, with no compromises on authenticity for more adventurous eaters. The curry dishes are sublime and come highly recommended. The red curry is delicious and contains leafy greens and your choice of protein. The fish curry is rich, full-flavored, and delicious, with the authentic Thai flavor of kaffir lime leaves. The kao soi is an authentic treat from northern Thailand and will be a familiar favorite for anyone who has traveled to Thailand and enjoyed the dish prior.

The appetizers are excellent as well - I highly recommend the larb with pork - deliciously moist and made with flavorful herbs that pair perfectly with the pork. The chargrilled aubergine is phenomenal and truly unique to this restaurant - you will not want to miss it. Likewise, I recommend the chicken curry puffs. They are made with a flaky pastry and savory chicken curry filling that pairs perfectly with an optional sweet vinegar sauce.

DRINKS:

The owners have clearly put thought and care into crafting authentic Thai beverages for us to enjoy. The Thai iced tea is sweet but not overly so - and has a complex flavor to it that I have not experienced at other Thai restaurants. There is an additional variety of Thai tea on the menu that contains no cream, but rather includes lime juice - it is refreshing, light, and another signature item at Aubergine. The Thai coffee is also rich and full of flavor, and would be great item to get to-go after your meal.

I did not get any cocktails so I'm unable to comment on those - but a variety of Thai and other Asian imported beers are available.

SERVICE:

It is a pleasure to be served at Aubergine. The owners are kind and attentive, as well as all the wait staff. Food comes out quickly,...

If for no other reason, please go to this restaurant or use doordash or any other of the horrible apps that will deliver us food and order the kao soi. I love, Thai food. I have eaten at nearly every Thai restaurant in the St Louis area. And several other major metropolitan areas between both coasts. When I say it is worth going to aubergine for the kao soi just by itself, I mean it is the absolute best I have ever had. In fact, in my household when we want a treat we will check to see if aubergine is open and we will order the kao soi as take out. I will drive a quarter the way across this city to pick it up. The dumplings are also fantastic. Generally win. One thing is good at a restaurant like this. Most other things are as well. The aubergine as in the actual eggplant is also fantastic. But if I were to tell you to get anything on the menu, get their kap soi. Unless you are a heathen, godless, completely soulless husk of what you used to be a human, it will warm your soul. I...

We had Christmas Eve dinner with family at Abergine last night. Two of the members of our party have very significant food, allergies. They were beyond accommodating. The woman who waited on us was an amazingly gracious and kind person who ensure we were all comfortable and enjoyed the evening. One of the couples lives in Manhattan - where great Thai is easy to find - and was impressed with the food and service as well.

Although none of us took pictures of the food, it was both beautiful and delicious. Only one of us ordered wine, and a dessert was shared amongst the five of us. The cost with tax and tip was approximately $25 per person.

For those who are a little reticent to go downtown for a meal, there is a parking garage that is reasonable and provides easy access to this restaurant.

We would all happily recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants legitimate and delicious Thai food. We will definitely...

Nice small restaurant with great food. My husband and I ate here during the week and the place was really busy. The servers were running around making sure all of the tables were taken care of. The food took a little while to come out but it was worth the wait. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and a mild spice level. The drunken noodles were absolutely delicious. Hands down the best Thai noodles I have ever had. My husband ordered the Sweet Chili Basil Bomb with Stew beef and it was also delicious. The serving sizes were adequate. The Calamari appetizer were cooked very well and the pairing sauce was tasty. There is no street parking but there is a parking garage nearby. We walked less then 5 minutes from the garage to the restaurant. We would eat here again.

Great food and friendly service. They say about themselves "Thai with a twist", which is true. We stopped by on a Thursday evening, the place was not too crowded and we could choose our table ourselves, which was nice. We had a couple of questions concerning the menu and the waitress explained it all very friendly to us. So we had the vegetarian garden spring rolls as a starter and afterwards the red curry with chicken and also a yellow curry, which was on the special menu. The food is freshly prepared, good sized portions and most important delicious. As drinks we had the Thai Ice Tea, also great, especially with the Thai food. Last not least I'd like to mention, that the atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice, very bright, open and airy. Definitely 5*
