I don't usually give out a one star review but boy did they miss the mark. We ordered the jalapeno bites as an app, two calzones and a Nutella calzone for dessert. We took our weird playing card table markers and sat down outside. We waited for our appetizer. And waited. And waited. We then see a worker come out with an app, and they head to a table a few away from us who sat down awhile after we did and we overhear the conversation that they were already served jalapeno bites but they were the wrong appetizer. So the worker took the wrong one from their table and gave them what they had in their hand. Clearly they served the wrong table our Jalapeno bites. We continue to wait, and wait, and then our calzones come out. I let the worker know, and they apologize and say new ones will be out ASAP. We eat our calzones, which were doughy, the cheese wasn't even melted inside, and we finished. Still no bites. We sit there idling on our phones and eventually the bites show up at the same time as our dessert. They were overcooked, tasteless and the jam had a terrible after taste. We only ate a single peice. We cut open the Nutella calzone and the plate fills with watery chocolate, and the bananas were not even ripe. One bite and we were done. At this point we are just angry at the whole experience and we just leave. This is why paying and tipping at the start sucks, no one cares after you already paid them. First off, the whole card system is garbage, every time someone came out with food they walked up to each table, squinted at the card, asked them if they got xyz and then moved to the next table until they find a winner. We had some obscure man on a horse holding a tapestry. Just use numbers, this is just stupid. This was a terrible experience for a sub average calzone.

We weren’t having a great night and then found this place!!! First off the hostess-waiter-guy at the front (sorry I didn’t get your name) was awesome!!! He made awesome recommendations and was so friendly!!! My husband and I ordered 4 different kinds to try and share and OMG they were all soooo good! We got the Mayflower-a thanksgiving one and it was to die for!!! If you wondering about it just get it! The fatty B and hot mother clucker were soooo good and we got a steak one, The Bulls eye, -it was sooooo good as well!!! Atmosphere was nice, quiet, and dark and relaxing after all the walking we did! We really really appreciated the best food and awesome people!!! We are saving the rest for lunch tomorrow! Also on the way back to our hotel a lady stopped and said she loves that place as well so we know it’s a local favorite! Thank you again!!!! You made are not so good night turn around!!! P.S.-when I saw this place on the maps I immediately wanted to go!!!-my husband says I always get stuff (on the side) so this is my place!!!! Not sure if there is a reference to the movie When Harry Met Sally but the name of this joint reminds me of that movie-if you haven’t seen it do yourself a favor and watch it!

I eat here all the time unfortunately I live above this place so days like today and yesterday while the roads are bad I get the convenience of eating here and that’s the only thing I’ve ever enjoyed except their Barria calzones but those where a “special” so no longer on the menu. I ate there yesterday as also my guest at my home choose the convenience as well, I ordered the new “special” scramble. It was very mid even with the Substitute of pork for steak. Again I was pleased with the convenience. Today I ordered again on my lunch break as I work from home due to inclement weather still. I ordered the McDoodle Noodle and removed the bacon and added extra steak because it never seems to be an adequate amount of meat in their calzones. I picked it up and brought it home and had gotten half way through before I came to the conclusion that there was no chicken on it only and only steak. I call down to the restaurant and I let them know the chicken was not on it. I was told by the General manager Roberta “If you bring it in and it isn’t correct we will make another but the owner made it and is sure there’s no bacon on it.” I then remind Ms Thang that there isn’t supposed to be bacon it’s the chicken that’s missing. I then stressed how ridiculous that policy was and how inconvenient it is when the mistake was on them and that I felt belittled because I look young and black but I’m actually quite grown at 35 years old! Roberta began to speak disrespectfully over the phone cursing at me to not try to bring race into it. I asked her to have that same energy when I arrive back to the restaurant for my refund. I get there and Roberta was actually a sweetheart and she gave me my refund immediately but the owner was trying to pry the calzone from my hands to prove the order was incorrect before returning my payment. After I got my refund the owner dug his fingers through the calzone and tells me the dark brown ground beef looking meat was actually the chicken and I didn’t know what I was talking about. Again I stress to him that it’s and insult to my intelligence and isn’t the customer always right and he told me no! I told them this wasn’t over with and instead of causing a scene and the police coming and detaining me I’m here typing this review. They told me they hope I do something about it which again feels belittling knowing they’re in the wrong they must believe I do not have the means of seeking justice for this situation because I look like a young thug to them. I just hope the next person who’s order they mess up then antagonize has the same patience as me and don’t end up in harm or jail. I’ll be sharing this story on social media and reaching out to a good friend at RiverFront Times. Looking forward to everyone’s thoughts and feedback about this situation and if I could’ve done anything better to handle this situation and others like it.

Thank You...

Im telling ya, you guys need to expand this place! My man and I each got a Calzone. One was "Which Came First" and "Pancho Villa" mind you you can customize and my man customized his "Which came first" which originally came with the vierde sauce and switched it to queso. I got the Pancho and instead of Chorizo I did roasted chicken with the queso and meat sauce. They were AMAZING! WE were here for an over night stay for the St. L Cardinals vs The Brewers (Go Brewers!) But we went in for lunch by our hotel room and it was a wait, but we weren't first in line either. It started storming right before we got our food but when we finally got back to our room we both tried eachothers food without and with sauce. BOTH WERE AMAZING!!!!!!! We need something like that where we live! Do you offer opportunities like that? I mean we have plenty of food offers but for good canzone we have NONE!!! I was hoping for the place to be open before we leave but it won't be. Id gladly have a Calzone for breakfast! We need a spot like y'all in champaign co, IL!!!!Im not a big food reviewer but L, when I have something AMAZING, I have to say so. The ONLY issue I had was the outside smell by the alley.. Everything else....I will say even the wait was totally worth the $$ spent. I wish y'all would been open by time we left, bc we would ordered again and an extra for a best friend, but we will be back, even if it's just to have YOUR CALZONES! We'll dang done!!! I already regret not stopping back in after the game as you were still open! Y'all left me on a hook and didnt even know! Thank...
