Kaldi's Coffee — Restaurant in St. Louis

What a lovely ambiance! It’s a perfect place to sit with coffee before or between work.

Pretty good oatmilk latte. I like my lattes bold and complex so Kaldis latte was not exactly my type.

Avocado toast was also not exactly what I wanted. Bread was too thick and chewy. With soft ripe avocado and very withered arugula (I would never use such limp, not fresh arugula on my toast). I see how they attempted to balance it with cheese and mayo sriracha. However, I don’t like my healthy toast smothered with heavy unhealthy sriracha mayo. It would’ve been better if there was more crunchiness, texture to balance out the smooth avocado and fluffy thick bread. Like pickled raddish or purple onion. Perhaps coming from California with healthier avocado toasts, I was not too fond of this version.

I love this coffee shop. First off, I appreciate they are opened AND offering indoor dining. Sometimes takeout is not practical. Second off, this place nails it every single time I go there. I’ve been there a lot! The service is well above average for a coffee shop (No snarky baristas here - take notes Starbucks!).

They offer delicious baked goods and other menu items like salads, sandwiches, smoothies. There is a little something for everyone (even a picky child).

Today I had the Turkish Latte and blueberry scone. I wish I could go back tomorrow because I would order it again.

I always make a stop at this Kaldi Coffee whenever I’m in town since it’s right next to the hotel I stay at. It’s a great spot with plenty of space to sit, work, or meet with customers. The service here is consistently amazing.

I especially enjoy their smoothies, and I highly recommend trying the dirty iced chai latte with two shots of espresso—it’s fantastic.

The only letdown for me has been the breakfast sandwiches with egg. Unfortunately, the eggs are cooked on the same grill as pork, which isn’t ideal. I really wish they could make an adjustment there.
