Well let me say, I have been coming here for over 20 years if not longer. However, this is the first time! and since Lees have gotten this new most disrespectful! Bullying! morning crew since late December 2023, until currently. This morning crew specifically, is by far the rudest, unprofessional, untrained, most disrespectful in customer, service, over season food preparation and quality. I’d try to keep giving Lees a chance, and hoping that this morning crew will fizzle out. However, I see they are NOT going nowhere and in here to stay?!👀. So the food now especially the chicken, the meat has been pink all the way to the bone not cook thoroughly. I mean each time I take it back to them and they do honor it and agree and swap it out, however, that’s not the point because it’s an inconvenience and not to mention! that is a health issue and a code -violation(s). I go there at least twice to three times a week and each time this has occurred! And let me not get on the taste and quality of the pasta broccoli salad! That’s has been actually frozen and when it’s so-called unthaw!? It still has icicles on it! 🤢 …Me and that assist morning manager, she went back in fourth with me about it! After the crew agreed that it was frozen… now, she issue out four different pasta broccoli salads and still poor and unhealthy… so I requested for a refunding of the whole meal. In which she’d honored. Keep in mind even the crew agreed with me on the temperature, the manager behavior and quality of the food. This have just gotten out of hand And they really need a “secret shopper” more THAN ONE OCCASION by the owner (if Lees care for their customers) to prove on what these bad reviews are really about. Read moreThis afternoon I went to the Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken on Jefferson for a late lunch/early dinner. I placed my order (which wasn't chicken tenders) and once I got my food, I made my way home.
Once I got home, I realized that I had gotten another customer's order by mistake. So I jumped back in my car, and made my way back to Lee's. The manager was outside and as soon as I got out of the car, he asked, "Let me guess, you ordered 3 piece meal?" He then brought me inside to get my order fixed.
He apologized profusely about the mix-up. He told me to keep the food I already had and then told a worker to get me a free soda. The worker at the drive-thru window apologized for not checking the order before handing it to ne, Within a couple of minutes I had my food and I was on my way.
As I was heading out, I told the manager that I had be going to that Lee's for a couple of years and that was the first time I had an issue with an order. He smiled at me and told me to have a blessed day.
Lee's had already risen to be my favorite fried chicken restaurant and the integrity of the manager and the staff today solidified that.

Read moreHad a reason to go to St Louis and the reason lasted 5 min so i decided to spend the day exploring the city. Just aimlessly driving through city streets and couldn't find anywhere to use a restroom. After a few blocks of cruising around I seen this location nestled into an intersection and it seemed inviting compared to the surrounding area (which isn't that bad just old and a little crime sure) and I was feeling a little hungry so I stopped in. Felt comfortable the whole time service was fast food was fresh and amazing. Non spicy leg and thigh meal with biscuit Mac and slaw and it was definitely something that I would love to try again. Next time I'm in the Lou I'll be back. Bathrooms where nice and clean. And to top it off they had Mr Pibb. Give it a shot but be respectful and mind the area.
