The inside hostess (not the host outside in the tent-he was friendly and great) last night (12/20) was extremely rude to us when me and my friend were at Miracle Bar . Not getting into specific details about what happened because I don’t want to waste anymore time thinking about how she put a huge strain in what was supposed to be a fun teacher/mom’s night out for us. Writing this review to warn the public that you may encounter snobby and not so friendly, impatient workers who literally yell at you (assuming we were in the wrong) and then walk away and don’t take the time to listen to you (remember we are the customers, Hostess). This hostess should know that that behavior toward a customer(s) is unacceptable. There was a huge misunderstanding coming from us, we think a false assumption about us two customers, and additionally, what the hostess told us did not line up with what I read on your website (before going to the bar) about seating and specific rules regarding reservations. That is why we were so confused and shocked when she came up and yelled at us then walked away without letting us fully speak. Not good customer service at all and definitely not a fun and work-friendly vibe there. Will definitely be going to other Christmas pop-up bars instead this year and...
Read moreI’ve supported Ted’and Jamie’s projects for 10+ years. Easily spent over $1k at their bars. Arrived at Miracle at 10:38 pm on Sunday Dec. 23 and was told by “hostess” Ashley that we could not be seated or served. Although she acknowledged the bar was open until 11:30pm, as was clear from the pop-up bar’s website, and every single social media outlet, (and the space was at less than half full capacity) we were told by Ashley that the bar was beyond fire marshal capacity. When I brought to her attention that the bar was nowhere near over full and that it WAS OPEN FOR ANOTHER 45 MINUTES, she became indignant and dug in her heels. “Other bars allow beyond fire marshal capacity but we don’t.”
Please. Ashley clearly wanted to go home and not allow anyone else to have a simple xmas cocktail. We drove 20 minutes to come here. This had NOTHING to do with capacity.
The Kilgores are outstanding people. I don’t expect them to be physically present every hour of every day at their places. They should be able to trust staff to be responsible and do the right thing. Alas, Ashley deserves a “F” in this dept. There has not been one experience at a Kilgore bar I did not enjoy, until tonight. I won’t be returning until Ashley is no longer part of...
Read moreI've been coming here since year #1 when no one had even heard of it. I'm a loyal Miracle supporter. I know this year is different with COVID. I get it. This year it felt cold, a bit empty decor-wise. The servers here have never been super friendly (compared with Sippin Santa where they are). Mostly, they have a SUPER strict mask policy. As in, someone is walking around getting on to you if you are not actively sipping and your mask is down. We all do the best we can, honestly. But this was so annoying, it made me constantly worried and distracted by my mask. "Is it down too long, but I also want water, up down up down up down".
All the tables are very well spaced. The server stands far from the table. No one is up and walking around really, as there are only about 6 tables of 2-4 people. It's seems overly strict and makes everyone pretty uncomfortable. We don't mind putting a mask on if the server is there or people are walking by but the constant up/down, literally, is ridiculous. I ended up with lipstick smeared all over my face from the constant movement. Mine probably went up and down over 100 times in a hour because remember, you only have ONE hour so you're also...
