UPDATE; I've been going back to this place ever since my original review. They are always very helpful and knowledgeable. Jake and Zach are the guys who answer the phone and answer the questions you ask. They are very polite and knowledgeable. This place is a very friendly and comfortable place to hang out and drink a cup of coffee while they change your flat tire on the fly and or adjust your brakes and gears. I would highly recommend giving them your business often. This place is beyond awesome. I came into the shop last week which unfortunately my Schwinn GTX had been vandalized while I was at work. My intentions was to drop it off until I got paid on Friday, it was Wednesday. They said nonsense and put it immediately on the bike rack and started to fix it. I told them I didn't have much money, they replied don't worry about that, we just want to get you back to riding. They fixed my gears and brakes that had been jacked with, and replaced a flat back inner tube that had been punctured in numerous places. They charged very minimal money. I went back Friday when I got paid and paid them the money they more than deserved. They was a complete God send and I really appreciate there thoughtfulness. This is a class act above anything I've experienced in a long time. They definitely will have my business and my recommendation from here on out. Thanks for everything you did and do....
Read moreNever coming back. Moving into the neighborhood next week and came here for the first time to check it out. Barista had a bit of attitude when ordering, but I looked past it. Ninety percent of my interactions at St. Louis establishments have been more than great with helpful, friendly – even informative – staff. Bro is probably having an off day. At 4:15 p.m. he came over to me and another patron to tell us “I gotta start mopping fellas let’s go!” First, guy coulda mentioned they they close in 20 minutes when I ordered my drink, “for here.” Second, listing says it’s open until 6pm and LARGE print on both doors say it’s open until 8pm. I when shop actually closes, barista is further annoyed and responds “Four o’clock.” The failure here is not recognizing that for this type of business – one that serves a local clientele of residents, workers, and commuters – success depends as much (or more) on a friendly staff than on literally anything else. At least 3 more patrons have walked up and had to be turned away because they close at 4pm, not 6pm or 8pm. I understand a worker being annoyed at confused customers, but it’s not our fault. Not to mention a sharpie, a sheet of paper, and some tape resolves the issue. The drinks are mediocre and overpriced, too. One star. Do...
Read moreKinda Shocked at the high rating here! I came in with a 50% off coupon that I got through “entertainment book.” Yet it was almost $5 at 50% off. [The bicycle guy I spoke with was great however, this complaint is only about the coffee.] I was basically talked into a Coffee Latte. I said that I was wanting something strong not something mostly milk. However, he said there was two espresso shots in it; so, I agreed & I then asked can you make it a double. He said so you want four shots of espresso? I said well that’s maybe too much, how about three? so as I’m talking to the bike guy he brings me the coffee and gives me an iced coffee… His solution was to waste that one and to make another one… So now I have what to me seems like a one shot coffee with mostly water and milk in a 12-14 oz cup… It wasn’t strong at all! And it cost almost $10 before the discount! Sheesh!!! How about asking hot or cold or what size do you want? Come on get it together people…!!! The store was not...
