Trust is amongst the best cocktail bars in St. Louis and is quite possibly #1. Located inside an old bank the ornate details of the building are almost as well crafted as the cocktails themselves. The atmosphere is chill but lively, the music not too loud (so as that you can actually have a conversation), the people are from anywhere and everywhere whether it be local, national, or beyond, and the conversations are always both interesting and friendly no matter what walk of life you come from!
My wife and I have frequented Trust for over a year now and have never had a bad experience. We’ve met all manner of people and have never had a bad conversation or a bad drink. Trust is always a good time but you’ll just have to try it out for yourself!
Need more convincing?
Kevin (the head bartender) is a master and he meticulously designs each cocktail on the menu tweaking and improving the design until he’s got it right. I once asked him if there were any liquors he didn’t know anything about fully expecting him to say something along the lines of - “Of course.” There are after all, about a million different brands to choose from it seems. Instead he stopped for a moment, thought about it, and replied, “Idk, maybe 100.”… To this day I fully believe him.
Anyways, Trust offers a variety of classic cocktails, an assortment of their own staples, a few seasonal drinks, and a small assortment of hand picked wines and beers to choose from. Every time you order a drink at Trust Kevin and Caeser (the other primary bartender) expertly mix each drink recreating it perfectly every time. If it’s slow they’re both excellent conversationalists and if it’s busy you can undoubtedly find or start an interesting conversation with virtually anyone in there.
So I hope to have convinced you to give the place a shot, and maybe take one while there too; the Snaquiri’s are excellent. 😉 If not then there’s nothing more I can do that will convince you to go at this point.
-Either way I just spent an hour writing this RAVING and well deserved review so Kevin YOU OWE ME A SHOT! -He said the other day that he wants to boost the numbers from 4.8 - 4.9 stars and has been asking the regulars to review the place. So if I’m going to review it then I’m gonna go ALL OUT because by every means this place is definitely worth the hype and trouble or I would not be doing this, nor going regularly. I’m also definitely going to hear about this when I come in next because he reads every ones of these. 🤣

Read moreWe were able to host an event here with some of our customers, and it did not disappoint! The venue was beautiful, transporting the vibes back into old Hollywood glamour. There was plenty of space, with a variety of seating areas, places to stand and chat, and room for catering. Being able to rent out the entire space at a great rate really made the event, versus trying to fit into a private dining room somewhere. We had about 60 people, but you could have easily fit more with no problem. All of of guests were impressed with the space and didn't have enough nice things to say.
The employees were also lovely, chatting away with us, giving insight on drinks, and making all of our guests feel welcomed and special! They were so quick at making drinks, even the most elaborate was just a couple minute wait. Alex was so easy to work with, quick to respond, and I could tell he really cared about making our event a hit.
Finally, the cocktails were top notch, and much more affordable than I would have thought! They were creative and surprising, and most importantly, delicious.
All in all, I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to host an event in St. Louis! You will...

Trust is a beautiful event space and bar with a lot of potential — but it’s hard not to feel a little disappointed when you step inside. From the exterior, it’s a historic gem that makes you expect classic details, rich finishes, and a nod to its past. Instead, the interior has been completely modernized, stripping away the historic charm that could have made it truly unforgettable.
The food was good quality but basic — much like the space itself, it left me wishing for more personality and flair. It was enjoyable, but a little lackluster compared to what it could have been. On the other hand, the cocktails were outstanding, and the bar staff was engaging, knowledgeable, and full of energy — easily the highlight of the night.
Parking can also be a challenge, especially when downtown events are in full swing, so plan ahead if you’re visiting on a busy night.
I can’t help but wish they had preserved more of the building’s original beauty — it would have elevated the entire experience. As it stands, Trust is a nice spot with great drinks and service, but it could have been a true showstopper with its historic...
