First time going. Food was delicious and we enjoyed watching him cook the food. Service was also very prompt. Our 10 year old son is very interested in various foods and types of cooking and he loved every second of watching the hibachi cook! We weren't sure how our four year old girl would do with the fire, but she thought it was pretty cool too. Great thing is that Osaka offers some of her usual faves too like chicken nuggets & chicken tenders with fries. We had two hibachi meals and ordered a few different sushi as well. One sushi got hung up in the back, but they were great at getting it out to our son quickly. He tries some of our hibachi stuff too as we got it from the grill. If you've never been, here's a brief rundown of how it goes: you're seated around hibachi grills (flat top style if youre unfamiliar) eight to a grill (at least in our lil room-so if you only have a few in your party and another small party comes in that fits, you'll all be at one grill), your drink order is taken and brought out, then your food order is taken. Anything from the sushi menu you want, you mark on a paper list that's given to you with the menus. That will go back with the rest of your order. Soon after, the cook will come out with the cart and begin cooking any hibachi that was ordered for the seats at that grill (sit back and enjoy! This is the fun part! While cooking the rice, the cook may offer up some small flying rice balls ;) be prepared to catch with an open mouth! If you ordered any appetizers or sushi or kids meals, they'll come out while the hibachi stuff is being cooked. All in all, it was a great visit and we plan to...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible. Service is trash, restaurant itself is nasty, and food is not worth what they charge. The chef was cooking in front of us barely speaked, used the same spatula to cook with then cleaned out the grease pan then went right back to cooking our food with it. The salad portions are like they don’t even try some bowls will have a decent amount then others will have like two pieces of lettuce and the salad and dressing made my husband sick! The The woman’s bathroom doesn’t have a lock on there door they used a chopstick to help “lock it”. The sushi was mostly soggy rice no filling. The vegetables in tempura wasn’t fully cooked, there rice wasn’t even cooked all the way and didn’t even taste like fried rice at all. The manager I’m guessing was persistent on sitting us at a table even though I had mention my husband had never been he wanted to sit at a grill. And set everyone that came in at the same table as a party and there was zero space in between all because she said it was “easier”. Me and my husband were so uncomfortable we were basically having to whisper. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY this place and service is absolute...
Read moreMy daughter is getting married and so we decided to go there with all the families. You would like 1520 people and so we took a whole big section and they had 2 per shafts. So cooks or whatever you want to call them. And one kid was 16 and the other 1 was maybe 25 neither of them were oriental. Yo, yo, you go to habachi because you expect to show spectacle. You expect them to be interactive and you're constantly in motion. So the kid that we had, who was 16 only been doing this for a couple months. Then say one word to us not 1 word. The other guy talked to everybody and none of them yell to the age up in the air and cracked it when it hit the spatula. None of them did anything. That didn't even cut up the shrimp. It was just so boring and the food was horrendous. I was really truly disappointed. Everybody took the food home and when they got it to the parking lot. There was a garbage can there and all the food was throwing away. This was probably me $400 with of food. Just throw it away if you're looking for good food. And you're looking for entertainment and a show and an experience. Go to the habachi grill down in St. John's town center in...
