We came here for the first time and had a negative experience.
First, my wife’s fish meal was so dry it was inedible. We told the staff and they offered to make it again but at this point we just wanted to go. They said they’d take it off.
Second, the server kept ignoring us when we were trying to get the check. She would just put her head down and go to the next area. I don’t think it was malicious but it was very frustrating.
Finally, when I got sick of waiting for the check or our server I went to the front where you pay. I noticed the fish still on there and asked for it to be removed. The young man initially did but then the woman next to him told him to add it back on in Spanish and started talking bad about my wife in Spanish not knowing I’m fluent. She tried saying that the fish was just “crispy” and not over done and that’s how it is made. I asked her if it’s supposed to be bone dry on the inside and she waffled then said no. When I pressed her further on this and asked if she wanted to come with me and see how dry it was on the inside, she relented. However out of spite she charged us for the small amount of lettuce my wife ate off the plate charging us for a “salad.”
Overall the service sucked, the food was inedible, and to end it all, the woman at the counter presumed I couldn’t understand her taking bad about my wife’s knowledge of Mexican food despite being a Latina immigrant who lived in San Diego and regularly...
Read moreAbsolutely would give negative stars if I could. Walked in and checked it out first, everything looked good. The fun ended there. Chips and salsa were ok, but the salsa was gone before we got our drinks. Server was an elderly lady, the place was not busy. We had to flag her down for refills, because you couldn’t find anyone. The buffet was not stocked, luke warm at best. The food was bland, toppings area very messy, kids nuggets looked like they came from a microwave, refried beans were soup, just nasty. Not authentic. The server never checked on us, and again we had to flag her down to ask for the check. We were charged for an extra drink, they took that off. I asked her about a charge for a quart of dip that we didn’t order. She replied that because we shared the buffet cheese sauce with our daughter we had to pay extra. My daughter took a dip of cheese sauce from my plate and so they charged me. She proceeded to tell me that she was a good server and she made sure we had plenty of drinks. I corrected her and let her know that she was NOT a good server and didn’t take care of us at all. There was no manager to talk to, and no one was willing to work with me on the bill. They were rude, especially her. Telling me I should have gotten the buffet for everyone at my table. All because my daughter wanted to try the dip. Anyway, do not visit here, it is not worth it. At all. And not family friendly...

We recently dined at San Jose’, and it was an awesome experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere made us feel like we were back in PHX.
The food is absolutely exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and authentic. I highly recommend their JUMBO chimi and flautas which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The guacamole was fresh and creamy, and their homemade salsas added the perfect kick to every bite. I recommend that you ask for the hot habanero salsa.
The service was equally outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to offer warm chips and fresh salsa. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. Don’t miss their BOGO house margaritas
