I went to Mi Casa and absolutely loved the food! The service was very good however the building/interior has seen better days.
The food was excellent, the chips and salsa were very enjoyable and I had a hard time trying to stop eating them to have room for my meal. I got the Colorado Burrito thats a Large 12" burrito with grilled steak, grilled chicken and chorizo, fully loaded inside with lettuce, rice, black beans, pico de gallo, queso, mi casa guacamole. Topped with cheese sauce and chipotle sauce and man was it delicious! The meats were all well seasoned and cooked well being absolutely packed into one half of the burrito. While the other half had all the lettuce, rice, pico and other vegetables that were super fresh and refreshing. The sauce was also very good and complimented the rest of the plate. The only nitpicking complaint I have is that the contents of the burrito were not mixed and seemed to be 2 halfs of different burritos. One half having all the meats and the other all the veggies and it would have been nice to get bites with all the ingredients that would have completely blown me away with the quality and freshness already present here. This didn't take away from the experience at all and received a solid 5/5 stars for food.
Service was great with speedy seating, occasional check ups and constant refilling of my drink which is much appreciated. Overall 4/5 stars for service.
The interior is dark and in need of maintenance and maybe even an update in the dated interior. The ceiling has many missing panels and clear water damage that you can see on certain panels of the ceiling. Lights were also flickering occasionally while I was there so I'd say they need a renovation and fix-up SOON! 3/5 stars for interior/atmosphere.
Overall 4/5 stars and will definitely be returning to this restaurant and would highly...
Read morefood is a hit or miss... Drinks are usually good, maybe we caught them on a off day. Took longer than usual to get our food in, we were understanding because it was lunch hour. the guacamole we ordered as an appetizer literally only tasted like avocado, no salt no lime. The drinks were ordered were not as good as they have been in the past. After waiting 50 minutes, our food finally came, I can say that there was nothing wrong with my food. my wife's burrito, however, was completely cold/frozen in the middle NOT from the lettuce and guacamole from the MEAT. I have literally worked at this restaurant for a day and left because I was appalled by the way that they handled food. Since I've stopped working there, they have had a reopen and this was our second time since the reopen. The waiter was kind so we are not upset with him, but we are upset with the way that the man in the yellow Mi casa shirt Who sat us at our table handled this. After the waiter took our food we decided that we didn't want the burrito anymore, knowing that they would just put it in the microwave (like they prob did the first time) so before they could bring out the "new" burrito I went to the front to tell the man that we didn't want it so he could tell our waiter. He had such a rude manner and tone to his voice saying how it was the guacamole and the lettuce that was cold and I proceeded to tell him that I knew it was the meat that was cold because I touched it and saw it and kept arguing back-and-forth, which made me mad and I told him to take it off and he continue to follow me to my table, telling me how it was just the lettuce and guacamole. Completely unprofessional and literally made me so mad. SAVE YOUR TIME,MONEY AND FRUSTRATION AND GO TO...
Read moreWe had visited this restaurant shortly after it opened quite a while back. We were not impressed at the time, but this visit was top-flight. The first thing we noticed was that it was quite busy at 5 in the afternoon. We did not have to wait to be seated, but I suspect that some did over the next hour or so.
The staff from the moment we walked in was chipper and friendly and seemed excited to see us. I know that can be a little cheesy, but not in this case. Our waiter Joel was very much a cut above on being friendly and helpful. Our glasses never ran empty, and every question was answered with a smile.
We had quite a variety of dishes around the table, but the most memorable choices was the Alambre that was quite an adventure of flavors including bacon and delicious queso. We also had a Burrito Colorado that sampled several Meats in one dish, including the best chorizo I've ever had. The Chipotle sauce on this one was pretty spicy as were some little peppers found inside. Not enough to excite those that can cite Scovill levels, but very tasty. It is also huge. I didn't even make it halfway through the dish.
When we finished a wonderful meal we had to compare checks with our tablemates. I was confident that mine was too low. Two premium entrees and a top-shelf margarita, and we came in under $40.
With a very creative menu, excellent service and wonderful flavors this restaurant will be a new favorite of ours...
