I love this place... When I'm in the mood for a good "Caldo"/Soup.. I come to this place. This place serves Chicken soup, Caldo de res/Beef soup, Menudo/Tripe soup and I think Tortilla soup if I'm not mistaken. I love all of the soups and it's very hard for me to decide which one I eat. My choice today was a Caldo de Res/Beef soup. My soup came with a lot of beef along with veggies. I also received a side of rice, cilantro, onions and 3 tortillas. The soup was amazing. I've never had a bad experience all the time I've been coming here. The best part about this place is they serve the soups 7 days a week. Not only on the weekend like most Mexican restaurants. I also love the chips with queso with fajitas. It's a must try. I will continue to come here and I also recommended this spot to anyone who loves good food. The wait staff is always on point and asking if we need anything. They are quick and prompt to fill my drink and chips. My cup is always full. The staff here help each other out and make sure all tables are taken good care of. We have lunch or dinner here at least 3-4 times a month. I really love this place. I will continue coming to one of my favorite spots in...
Read moreThe cooking was very lazy and there was little effort to flavor the dishes. The salsa tasted like Pace Picante and the tortillas tasted like they came out of a package. Service was below par. The sauces on the main dishes were decent but there was so much of it, it was almost as if the sauce was intended to hide the lack of flavor from the main course. The beans were flavorless and tasted like they were cooked the day before and re-heated. The potatoes were greasy, not even in the good way. It was almost like the potatoes were sitting in the bottom of the greased pan for hours and re-heated for service. The rice was a little grainy and under-cooked. Overall, the flavor of the food was nothing that you'd might expect from a tex-mex restaurant when looking at it from the outside. Go somewhere else. There are plenty of options down 90 heading south more closely authentic...
Read morePlace was lively and pretty busy for a Monday at lunch, staff was friendly, prices were reasonable, people seemed to be enjoying themselves and their food. I ordered a breakfast taco to-go and everything about the experience was pleasant, until I got ready to eat my taco and realized the order was incorrect. I ordered a potato, egg, bean, and cheese taco with cilantro and onions, which was $3.78. The taco had all of those ingredients, plus chorizo on it, which I specifically stated that I would like eggs instead of chorizo. The taco was extremely greasy and had lots of orange grease in the foil because of the chorizo. I chose not to eat it and was EXTREMELY frustrated. It was a huge waste of my time and money. My advice is "check your order before leaving...
