As me and my family entered this establishment, the host addressed the family who entered behind us as if we did not exist. That family was asked their party size and where would they like to be seated. After seating them and returning, we were told if no reservation, we cannot eat here and we need to leave. No greeting and introduction to the establishment like we witnessed the family who the host made skip us receive. The host did not take the time to find out our reservation and why we are here. We were the only family there that looked like us of course. We then let the host know that we do have a reservation in 20 minutes and would like to have appetizers and drinks at the bar as we waited for the rest of our party. We were sat at the bar and not provided any menus. We were ignored when asking for the menu after 15 minutes, and given attitude when we were finally given the menu. We ended up canceling our reservation and redirected our party to Kumo Ultimate Asian Cuisine Buffet which was only 6 minutes away. The food there was amazing, unlimited and great pricing. They even had a hibachi station where you can get fresh cooked food you personally picked out. It has a better rating than this establishment and 4x the amount of people who rated it. Read moreMy friend purchased a Groupon, and also made a reservation for Hibachi. Upon arrival, he approached the hostess and showed her the confirmation email (on his phone) clearly stating that a reservation had been made and confirmed. The hostess pushed back stating that he/we did not in fact have a reservation. I looked at the phone myself, and confirmed the reservation looked legit. Long story short, the hostess became rude and confrontational with us. Rather than acknowledge that there was an error or misunderstanding, and offer a solution, she proceeded to tell us that other people were waiting, too; and then she called her manager over to confirm that their system didn’t work with the Groupon system, and thus no reservation, despite what it said in our confirmation email. I normally don’t get upset, but the hostess was clearly disrespectful and rude to my friend, and to our whole party. They blamed us vs. trying to work with with us. I walked out and took my friends and business with me. In my opinion, the hostess and management demonstrated that they have no customer service skills whatsoever. I would go so far as to say that they showed a lack of social skills, and, frankly, they don’t deserve your business, in my opinion. Read moreI have never in my whole life experience such blatant racism. And I never pull this card. I really wanted some hibachi and chose this place to celebrate my son’s birthday. After reading decent reviews, I made reservations. Unfortunately, my family was not greeted at all when they arrived. Actually, the host just assumed they did not have reservations and my mom and sister were told right away they could not be accommodated. When told that we did in fact have reservations at 7pm, at 7:01pm the host returned, with hostility to cancel the reservation bc my fiancé and I (along with birthday boy) were 10 minutes away. The cancellation struck me as odd bc the restaurant was slow this Monday evening, nearly empty. I’ve worked plenty of different restaurants and I’m aware sometimes reservations are canceled and parties cannot be accommodated but within reason. I called to speak to the host directly but was confronted with the same distasteful attitude my sister mentioned to me.
