Soul Tasty Restaurant — Restaurant in Stamford

If I had to ding anything, it was that they were busy, we walked 15 minutes from home to come pick it up after ordering, and I got to shuffle around outside in the cold for about 15 more min while they scrambled to fill several other folks orders who were ahead of ours. We then scuttled/jogged home to eat as fast as possible :D

The first thing I did when I finished eating was exclaim, "that was so tasty". The 2nd thing I did was get up to write this review.

Every so often we go through a BBQ craze, and we used to think Dinosaur BBQ and Bobby Q's was good but this place blows them out of the water with the quality, selection and most importantly taste.

We ordered A LOT to try a bunch of stuff.

Shrimp Side (5pc) - Cajun: Wonderfully seasoned, plump and tender, could have housed like 15-20 of these.

Tasty Box Chicken Tenders (5pc) - Nashville Hot: Some of the best tender's I've ever had, SUPER crisp/crunchy breading, and soft delicious chicken beneath. (this was my fall back order incase I didn't like the other stuff)

Tasty Box Chopped BBQ - mac & cheese side: The pork was perfectly cooked, and required almost no chewing, it was lightly sauced with a sweet BBQ sauce and the mac & cheese was excellent and savory, everyone likes it a little different, this one is heavy on the cheddar cheese. It paired really well with the Pork, next time I order this I'm going to immediately mix the 2 together for some badass flavor :D

We also ordered the Baked BBQ Chicken, which was easily the tastiest, most tender, flavorful protein we ordered. The meat fell off the bone, and was delicious.

Finally they threw in some cornbread with the order, and holy heck, not like any cornbread I'd ever had before, this tasted like a cross between carrot cake, and maple syrup. Easily classified this as a dessert, unexpected and very pleased with it!

Overall the food was amazing, we had several sides of fries and sweet potato fries, also good but, we didn't eat because the portions were large enough that a single tasty box was enough for 1 persons meal. So I recommend everything! One box, or meal should be more than enough for the...

I am sorry to leave such a bad review, but they should not be affiliated with UberEats. This review is for the second order I made using the same address from the same food location from Uber eats. My first order arrived in less than 30 minutes and was fantastic. I was hoping I could say the same of this order. My husband and I placed the order from our home and were waiting at our home for the food to arrive (the same address were food was delivered the first time we used the service). We Waited near the door for the food to arrive. We were waiting almost an hour when I received a phone call from the deliver. He said that he was outside of our home. I told him it is hard to see our condo number and that we were number 7. I also said that my husband would open the door so that he could find us quickly. My husband went outside to meet him less than a minute after the deliver called, but no one came. After a few minutes, my husband went to the street to look for the driver. There was not a car on our street. And he waited 10 minutes for him to come. He then came back to and told me that the driver never came. I went to my app and tried to call back the delivery driver, but the app said that the order was canceled and there was no longer contact information for me to call. I was not happy with my service, but at least thought I was not charged. ... but I was charged and I had no way to call customer service. Also, I’m sure the driver was just hungry... he got paid to eat my lunch... what a joke. I reached out to UberEats and was told that they will not refund the cost of the order and that next time I need to be at the delivery location... there will never be...

By complete luck I ended up at this restaurant. The entire staff was friendly and genuinely happy to be there. The food came out and the portions were under priced. I bought a single meal and it was more than filling. The restroom was not only clean but decorated just to emphasize how much the team cares about every aspect of thier resturant. I honestly wish I could award better than 5 stars. While eating my meal I noticed a new customer served atleast every 2 minutes. I returned to wash my hands and as I left the man on the register called me by my name and said to have a good night. I had never been here before. There were atleast 30+ customers who had been in since I had left. I also paid cash so its not like he still had my receipt with name or signature. I do not make comment or write like this normally but I felt something had to be said. Also I'm a 30 year old male its not like I'm a retired individual with an abundance of time on my hands or the manager seeking type. I'm also from 5 states away just passing through. One last thing, I saw the man from the register (after closing, on his own time) show kindness and generosity to an individual who was down on their luck. Its refreshing to see people who not only carry a passion for what they do so much that you can taste it but also have so much compassion for their fellow human especially in these messed up "divided" world we live in.
