I absolutely loved coming to Villa Italia Ristorante e Bar in Stamford Connecticut. We are first and second generation Italians living in Metro Detroit Michigan and of course we wanted to try some Italian food here because we have never been to Stamford before. I was more than happy with the choice to come to this restaurant. Ester and Martina were so great and also happen to be from the same place my mom’s family comes from, Isola di Ponza, which happens to be a very small island so it isn’t every day we meet people who also come from here. I can’t express enough how delicious the food was, beautiful restaurant design with different lights throughout the seating, and we loved the live music (make sure to check their website because they don’t have live music events every night). Also, I absolutely loved the cheesecake with ricotta🤌🏼 Most people like very sweet New York styled cheesecake, but for me, I preferred it the way that they made it because I’ve never had it like this and it was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is fantastic for families and even dates too and has a great atmosphere. All of the staff was very nice and we loved everything about coming here. It’s definitely an excellent experience and I can’t wait to come back again next time I’m in Connecticut🙏🏼❤️ It’s definitely a hidden gem and I would recommend this to anyone coming to Stamford or anywhere near it.

We went to dinner here on Saturday night after July 4. It's a good meal so there was nothing particularly to complain about. I should say at the onset that we eat gluten free and that there were several gluten-free options on the menu. But overall the restaurant was just OK. Service was OK. The food was OK. The location was OK. The timing was OK. So there’s really nothing in either direction to make me give it higher than three stars. We started with the eggplant Napoleon. The eggplant was cooked well but the sauce was a little bit tart and it made the eggplant a bit mushy. next we shared a brussels sprout salad. I would venture to say that this was probably the best part of my meal but it’s a salad and so there isn’t much you can do to mess with it. Then for the entrée I had gluten-free pasta and my friend had a gluten-free pizza. Both were tasty enough. As I think back now, the sauce was the common element between both the eggplant appetizer and the entrées, And I’m thinking that the taste was just OK for an Italian sauce. But I was very grateful that they had gluten-free options and that the food was tasty enough to enjoy.

Villa Italia Restaurant and Bar is the epitome of fine dining excellence. This establishment not only provides a luxurious dining experience, but also culinary masterpieces that tantalize the taste buds. The steak at Villa Italia is a cut above the rest - perfectly cooked to your liking and bursting with flavor. The mussels linguine is a seafood lover's dream, with tender mussels nestled in a bed of perfectly cooked pasta and savory sauce. Their fettuccine Alfredo is rich, creamy, and downright decadent, leaving you craving just one more bite. And let's talk about their table bread - it's an experience in itself. Each basket is filled with warm, freshly baked bread that is so addictively delicious, my companions and I found ourselves devouring basket after basket without hesitation. Villa Italia truly knows how to elevate even the simplest bread to a gourmet level. Villa Italia Restaurant and Bar is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. My taste buds were in heaven, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal.

we were in Stamford for a family reunion picnic this past weekend 8/14/22 and stayed at the Hampton Inn. This restauraunt was perfect in every way. We had our doubts being attached to a hotel, but exceded our expectations in everyway. Fro makiing reservations for 6 and requesting a round table, the person was pleasant, and noted we want a round table and we were told that would not be a proble. The service was quick but not rushing us. The drinks were well prepared. Gave us two bowls of butter for our delsious basket of bread, two bottles of water so no one had to reach so far across the table. Our server answered questions, made accommodatesif one of us did not wanting something on our plate we were ordering. The food had a nice presentation on the plate with colors and texture that it was inviting us to eat what we ordered. The food was as good as a 5 star, in fact better because one was famaliar with everything on the plate. The price of the meal was very reasonable. It was a nice size serving for the price. We sat at our table talking and laughing for 3 hours, and we literally closed the place yet did not feel rushedd and we were not asked to leave or go to the bar. It was a wonderful experience. We went back on Saturday night, had the same delightful exerience with a table in a different location, different servers and different entrees. Could not be ore convenient since we just had to walk through adoor to get to our hotel. We would highly recommend this restaurant whether a tourist or a resident of the area. It is a little gem of a place to enjoy...

Young man seating us was obnoxious to me but friendly to some. As we were being seated I ask him how long they had been at that location and he says a while and I tell him I use to go to them when they were on east main street and didn't realize they had moved. He then says "where have u been"?it's the tone he used ..too friendly and very sarcastic. As our food was arriving I thought it was my order so I said foods here but it was my friends but he quickly said to me"shhh calm down over there" ..not a respectful way to treat a paying customer. His mannerism was totally uncalled for and a huge turnoff. Stamford today is full of fine restaurants and very good service. If it were up to me I would have left and gone someplace else but we were a party of 6 celebrating a co workers last day at work and it was her pick..so I had to stay. Also I ordered the pasta with chicken and broccoli..the broccoli really needed cleaning because most of my bites were gritty..so I left all the broccoli out and ate the grilled chicken which was good with the penne.i would have said something but didn't want to deal with his smart mouth so just left it at that. A food place is not made up of only the food..it's the ppl that make it or break it..for me it was a...
