Trips' Restaurant — Restaurant in Stamford

This was my very first visit and I can tell you, it won't be my last. The restaurant had a delightful ambiance. The staff was on point, friendly, and very attentive. They were organized and not running around like chickens with their heads cut off like I have seen many of times at other establishments. They don't rush you or make you feel rushed.

I ordered the lobster bisque to start and hands down, by far the best I have ever had, there was an abundance of lobster in the soup, I was pleasantly surprised. We had shrimp cocktail which you could tell by taste was very fresh and colossal in size. The prime rib was spot on and cooked to perfection. The portions were nicely sized, dessert decadent and the drinks were on the money!

This restaurant just lost my business. I live very close to Trips and wanted to try it out, I called them to find out if they deliver as their website did not specify. When I called to ask the question of whether they delivered, the person answering the phone abrasively said no we don't and hung up on me despite the fact that I wanted to know if they did take-out and had other questions. So I called back for the second time indicating to them that they just hung up on me when I asked about delivering and I had another question - what a surprise I got hung up on again after they stated they don't deliver. So I called back the third time to tell them they lost our business.

It is mind boggling to me how rude people in a service industry can be and that they can't even do their job and answer customers questions and have any manners or so-called customer service. I can only imagine what the service is like if that is what I got from just a phone...

Update: I wanted to update this review because after two wonderful Mother’s Day celebrations, we decided to host my daughter-in-law‘s baby shower here. It was the most wonderful baby shower that it could have been for our kids! The delicious and abundant food, the outstanding service, every little detail was incredible! Kara was an incredible coordinator and her staff were over-the-top attentive to our guests! I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful family restaurant! And if I could, I’d give it 10 STARS!
