This business used to be superb, but since the new owners, things, more specifically, how things run behind the scenes, have unfortunately gone down hill. Not only do they scold you for washing dishes and leaving soap in the sink, not food residue, soap, but they refuse to wash the dishes they use WITH soap and water. I, and many other employee's have witnessed this first-hand. Nina, Van, and Natalie are the ones who do this, but when I have voiced that that is more unsanitary to not wash dishes with soap than just leaving soap in the sink, I was just considered argumentative. They quite literally just rinse the blenders, shakers, and the spoons used to mix and stir, they're left in containers of mucky water with remains of past made drinks. My ex-coworkers have even expressed to me that they don't like that things are done this way on their behalf because they themselves feel bits of syrup and fruit/cookie residue. I know most employee's WASH the dishes considering that's what you're supposed to do in every job ever, not just rinse, but the owners? ever since they came in the picture, washing dishes has been an issue. I've told them that if the customers knew about this information, they most likely wouldn't come in through those doors. But Natalie's response, whos is the main owner, mind you, was simply "tell them! don't threaten me and my business! " .....when it wasn't that at all, just expressing I don't think it's sanitary and I'm sure customers would think the same. I for sure wouldn't get drinks here unless you know you're making it yourself and your dish is properly washed. They also rarely pay their employees on time, we have literally shown up on payday and have them write up the check on the spot despite them saying that it's ready, which has taken up to 30 minutes. It's just inconsiderate of other people's time and bills. Work schedules are done completely last minute, too, at times, to where you don't know if you work until the day of. They also feel the need to raise their voice at their employee's and insinuating that they're stupid by saying things like "you don't think!" amongst other rude things. This was Nina, the owner's (Natalie) sister that said this to me. Why? I will never know because while I asked why she felt like it was okay to say that to people, all she did was threaten to fire me, despite her just being an employee and not an owner. It's really a shame because I really enjoyed working here before they came and bought the place, and i enjoyed seeing all of the regulars, I REALLY wanted to see the new business thrive. It's a cute place and had potential. But not when things are running like that and the owner and their sibling don't know how to act professionally with their employees and can't treat them with kindness. Van, though, has always always been incredibly nice to me. She has never raised her voice at me for any mistakes I could've possibly done. She was always patient, warm and kind when she speaks to people and always has a smile on her face. I really didn't want to leave this review but I recently actually got fired, and while they're saying it's due to the new changes, I 100% know it was mostly because of this. I normally wouldn't care too much, it is what it is but this just feels weird and unfair. Of course I'm not saying don't come and spend your money here, at the end of the day, the choice is yours, but there's just a lot to consider before coming here. P.S. if you have came here and asked for non dairy creamer, you were 100% given creamer with dairy in it, as Natalie doesn't know that our...
Read moreI write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Knottea Cafe on our interview date.
As someone who willingly admits that she’s not the biggest fan of boba teas, I fully admit that I sometimes forget that boba shops do in fact carry other types of drinks. Knottea Cafe in Stanton, CA is exactly one of those shops that makes sure to have a decent variety of beverages to meet any visitor’s needs. They have everything from milk teas to smoothies to a build your own favor option, and of course, they have some wonderful coffee options for the bean lovers out there. A mere ten minutes away from Knott’s Berry Farm and twenty minutes from Disneyland Park, Knottea Cafe is a great pitstop on your way for a fun day at the...
Read moreI love this place. My kid and I go there on Tuesdays. I love their $3 thai tea. My kid always gets a smoothie... they have a great selection. The best part is the option of the amount of sweetness one would like in their drink. Especially for my little one. It has REAL fruit and not too much sugar! Can't beat that. They have stamp card and since we moved to the area (7/4) we've filled up 2. And have gotten FREE drinks, the guy even offered a large size for our free drinks since we ordered the regular size... very thoughtful. Their service is great, the place is clean, reasonably priced and the selection is awesome. See you...
