15% tip is automatically selected and the order summary is NOWHERE on the page before you hit Apple Pay. When you pay with Apple Pay or G Pay, it won’t even show you the itemized payment details before offering a payment method or an option to review your order before pressing checkout, so I wasn’t aware the tip was automatically added when I checked out.

This is a crooked business practice and whoever designed this knew exactly what they’re doing. Tipping culture is already out of control. Pay your employees a reasonable wage instead of deceitfully adding additional costs to your customers when inflation has made everything ridiculously expensive as is.

Sure, I could have “scrolled down” and “deselected” the tip. But you can also design your checkout experience to make it frictionless for your customers. This is a prime example of a great way to show your customers they don’t matter. You’re just there for the cash grab

On the other hand, the bowl and smoothie I ordered were tasty and fresh.

I dont know where everyone else has been getting they're acai bowls but this one was by far the worst ive ever had. The server was nice and helpful but when i first walked in there was nobody to be found for a minute. I dont know what they were all doing in the back but they definately werent concerned about theyre customers. So on to the bowl. Im not sure what she said she was blending but when i got it it was a pile of mush with cocoa nibs sprinkled on top. At no point did my mouth come across any granola but there was plenty of chia pudding and hardly any acai. It was crazy because they charged 99cents for every topping where as normally those toppings are not extras. They are the toppings of an acai bowl. I got one 16 ounce bowl with the usual toppings and it cost me $22.00. Absolutely absurd, especially since it was so gross. Even the fruit had a funky smell.
