I am a frequent customer of Burger đ King. I mostly use the coupons and I just order by mentioning the coupon code. Unfortunately, this is not what happened yesterday. As usual, I got to the drive through and made them aware I had a coupon. I mentioned the coupon code and whoever was in charge asked me to mention what sandwich was associated with that code. As an African, I sometimes find it difficult to get the American ascent. Not because I donât and canât understand English. Certainly not! But itâs mostly because some people talk really fast and the speaker on the drive through machine was not clear enough. So I asked âwhat are you saying? And the next thing I hear is a hysteric laugh. I was surprised. This was the first time someone laughed at me because of my ascent. Most of the time when I speak to Americans, the first question they ask is â where are you from?â. I give them the answer they want and we continue to talk about it sometime how many languages I can speak. But what they did to me yesterday made me feel like I was the dumbest person on earth. I was so humiliated and angry. My girlfriend felt same and I told her to calm down. The next ridiculous and rude thing that happened was that the person in charge of that drive through, came in to the window to look at me and continued laughing and ridiculing me. To me it was a rude, unprofessional, and abysmal service and attitude. I donât laugh at people because of their ascent. We all have different backgrounds and that is what makes the human race unique and diverse. To that person and the staff who work at Burger King on 05/16/2021, I encourage and admonish you to be professional in your dealing with customers. I ordered two 8 piece chicken nuggets (because they were out of chicken fries, which is WHY we were there - How can you be out of chicken fries???), two orders of fries, and a Whopper Jr, no onion. There was a lot of confusion during my order and the voice began talking to what I assume was a coworker. My order was repeated to me, including the fries. I get to the next window, and pay. I was given my order. There were NO fries in the bag. After I asked them where the fries were. I was told that I didn't order fries. I had my teenage son with me and I looked at him and he said "Yes, you ordered them. and asked 3 times about them." Tell me that I have to come inside if I wanted to order then after going inside and waiting another few minutes she finally is able to come over to me and take my order And then I have to waiting another 10 minutes for the order to be ready. She walks up to the ice cream machine because I had ordered a shake.
