Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Starkville

Let's be real, we eat at a LOT of fast food restaurants! But Slim Chickens in Starkville was top notch tonight! Reggie, who is EXTREMELY friendly, waited patiently as we figured out what we wanted to order. As we filled our drinks, a runner had brought out a plate and asked a man (who ordered before us) at a near by table if had gotten he Classic Meal, he responded with he had gotten the Slim Meal. To save her steps around the restaurant, I stated that it could be ours but was unsure of our number. She walked back to the window to look at the screen to double check everything, while I was waiting (because I was just gotta take it to our table if it was ours) Reggie approached me as he was walking out to deliver food to a table and asked if I needed something. I explained what I was doing and he said he was bringing ours out (in his hand). I told him there was no sense in that, that I could just take it. He didn't give up, and stated he was doing his job. But I did eventually convince him to let me take it. We sat outside, because it is slightly cold inside, he had brought our other food out to us. He went over and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and what we didn't have, he made it happen without the miss of a beat. As we were finishing up, he came outside and started gathering our mess and made sure we enjoyed everything (which we did) and if we needed anything else. We stated that we'd clean our table up (that's what you do at a fast food restaurant) and he stated he wanted to and that it was his job. We thanked him as he went back inside. My little boy, who is just barely 2, kept saying "thank you" and "bye". Reggie would respond by saying "you are welcome" and "bye". This went back and forth several times. It was a very sweet moment as a mom and as a customer. This is just not something that happens, ever. And by something, I mean the service we received regardless if it were fast food or not. I so wish we carried cash more often for the RARE occasions like this. So Reggie, this is why I wanted your name. You are awesome, never let anyone take that away! Keep up...

Slim chicken headquarters contacted me after the review i posted below saying the issue would be addressed. Let me tell you, it was more then addressed. I had the best service i have ever recieved at any slim chicken. The staff was so friendly and excited to serve me. The food was so fresh and delicious. I burned my mouth on the way home with the fries because they where so good and i couldnt stop eating them. So happy that they stepped up there game.

(Old post from 3 weeks ago) I love the location in ridgeland ms and the staff there, always get great service. The entire staff here in starkville though has terrible attitudes and make you feel like your ruining there day by ordering food there. I decided to try there food just one more time despite the service from previously dining in. I was at the intercom in the drive through wondering why i was the only car there but figured it out when no one answered for over 10 minutes. I drove by the window and no one was there. Seriously please consider firing the entire staff your missing out on so much business being so close to...

I personally think this is the best overall chicken strip chain I've eaten. That's including zaxby's, abner's, and raising canes. The seasoning in the breading is probably the best out of all of the chains and the varieties of sauces they offer have been all good to give you change ups. Classic crispy thin fries, wings, salads, and chicken&waffle to round out the menu. However, the service has been subpar a couple times within the last few visits. Not to say I've had a rude experience, but orders are not coming out right, it's becoming obvious some of the cooks don't care, and sometimes they seem more interested in socializing amongst themselves than making sure to do quality work. Hence, not being a 5-star. Hopefully this gets straightened out and your experience is great.
