Whiskey Ranch Starkville — Restaurant in Starkville

My fiancée and I visited this Whiskey River this evening. She saw it online and we decided to give it a shot. If you’re expecting a standard grill and bar, you will be surprised for many reasons. When I saw the menu prices, I was astonished. $24 for catfish? Absurd.

That was, until we received our food. It is VERY good food. I got the blackened catfish - sublime. I don’t usually like grits, but I liked these grits. My fiancée got the Alfredo. It was also sublime. Whiskey River is one week old and it already has some of the best food in the area. Expect to pay a little more, but the food is entirely worth it. At the moment the “bar” portion is a little light, but I’m sure they’ll fill the “Whiskey” portion of their name out.

Stopped by this bar and grill around 2:45 PM, not realizing they closed at 3 PM. I asked if the bar was open, and they said yes, so I went ahead and sat down. Unfortunately, after that, no one communicated that they were actually closing soon, and I received no service at all. I waited for about 15 minutes with no acknowledgment while the staff was clearly focused on closing up.
