This is a very good Staples in Statesville, NC on Turnersburg Highway. I like this location. I have stopped a couple times when I’m in the area to print things and I bought a printer here once. They do a very good job.. I must say though, I did feel a little uncomfortable on my most recent visit.. What happened was I was browsing looking at printers and different items. A male employee (I won’t write his name, not trying to shame or embarrass him) walked over to me and said “What’s up man” and said it had been a long time since he’d seen me. He asked how I’ve been and asked if I’m having a good day. I said I’m doing fine. He asked why I hadn’t called him and said I let him down because he had been waiting on a call from me. I just kind of stared at him with a puzzled look because I honestly didn’t have any clue who he is. He finally said “Sorry if I bothered you, I didn’t mean to interrupt your shopping” and said to let him know if I need help. He walked away with a rude look on his face like I had offended him or something. I finished my browsing and left. When I got out to my car, my phone started ringing. I answered, it was that guy from the store! He called to apologize if he came off rudely or in a negative way. I told him it’s alright to not worry about it but it was kind of weird.. especially since he somehow has my phone number. I barely remember him..I must have given him my phone number but I don’t remember giving it to him. I hope you guys can train your people to be more professional. He treated me like his best friend from high school or something. Which would be nice, I guess.. if I could remember him well..but I don’t really remember him hardly at all! Don’t call a customers cell phone when they don’t even really remember you or remember giving you their number. I’m a very friendly guy and I love making friends but this isn’t the correct way to go...
Read moreBIG shout out to the employees/management of this store! I work in retail management and today I went to pick up paperwork required for FMLA. They had no way of knowing that I'd spent my day on the phone (while pretending to know how to nurse). I never mentioned that my career hangs in the balance. Long story short, the clearly busy but still attentive associate in the printing/marketing area dropped everything to find my packet (I sent it days ago but my husband was unexpectedly released from the hospital the same day so I didn't make it over to pick it up). When she tried to ring me up, the register wouldn't recognize my order. She sent me to a different register. I understood. Registers can run on different servers, one can glitch while the other won't. No big deal. I reached the other register and the same thing happened. Again, I understood. I wasn't even mildly agitated. These things happen. I see it everyday. The cashier called the General Manager over. He pushed a couple of buttons. He mentioned that they were wasting my time and that time is money. I said it was fine. He seemed to think for a moment and said "You know what? Time is money. Go ahead!" I asked if he was sure and he reiterated that time is money, they were wasting mine, it was only a couple of dollars, and to go ahead. Customer service is the bread and butter of my life. They had no way of knowing the importance of the documents I was collecting. I was fully prepared to camp out and wait until the register worked. But they just took care of the customer! I've used them for printing needs before and I've never been displeased with their service, but today they really went above and beyond customer expectation for no other reason than the sake of customer service! I will definitely continue to frequent this location! Their customer...
Read moreManager and employees were of no assistance. Had a simple task to print some address labels and nobody knew which labeling format they are using. How does Staple printing services not know anything about their address label format? Ridiculous. Does that make any sense?? Wasted $8 using their computer to try to match the 22 label sheet they gave me that they use. Nothing matched this when mail merging in Office. Ended up buying Avery Sheets of labels to try myself. What a waste...nothing professional about their printing services. What do they tell customers that want to get address labels printed? Just guess which format and size labels they use? Why can't their printing services change their format to match the customer's need? I used the standard format under the Staples option choice when mail merging in Windows Office from my mailing list, but that was incorrect from the 22 label sheet they were using. Manager and employee did not offer any recommendations or assistance in this matter. Little old lady in line there tried to assist me, but she knew less than they did when it came to formats. But at least she tried.
Edit: For those that also need to print out your elderly mom's contact list for Christmas gifts, and she has A LOT of friends/contacts, Avery's website has streamlined this process. Just have them print and mail your labels from a CSV format of your contact list. Easy. Their online services are super easy...
