Hardee's — Restaurant in Staunton

I typically do not leave negative reviews, however today was beyond the pale. We entered the empty parking lot roughly around 3pm, meaning that there were no customers besides us. There were several people in the back and we were served promptly. We were disappointed at the lack of cleanliness inside the restaurant being nasty floors and unclean tables. We each ordered the $5.99 bag deal along with an ice water. The young man brought out our order about 10 minutes later. I had the Hot Ham n’ Cheese. The meat was cold. It looked as if the cheese had been melted at some point the day before maybe and the bread was not fresh. Basically, the HOT Ham n’ Cheese (both of them) were old and cold!! The fries were old, cold, and unsalted. The double cheeseburger was cold as well. The patties were aged and the pickles appeared decomposed. There were no lids for the drinks and no napkins available. If it had been one or two things, we would have let it slide. We eat there often for breakfast but through the drive-thru and the food has always been hot and fresh. It was just unclear to me that there was plenty of staff and at the very least we expected our food to be FRESH since we were the lone customers. The Hardee’s in Lexington always cook their food to order. The Hot Ham n’ Cheese are always as advertised….HOT and made to order. We were just very disappointed with the entire experience. Terrible service and experience. We walked in and we're completely ignored by the employees. After waiting patiently (we were having a good conversation) at the counter for a couple of minutes, we started to wonder if they were even open. I went and asked an employee of there was anyone working and she said, "Oh yes, sorry." She took our order and another employee came out of the back looking very disgruntled. The two had a small argument about having to fill the order. I went to wash my hands and found a 3rd employee mopping the bathroom. I said, "Hi" and was ignored again. I waited until he was done with the bathroom and, surprise, no soap, so I got some from the lady's bathroom. Our order came out and, even though I ordered a large meal, there were maybe 10 fries in my tray thing...fewer than my friends who ordered medium and small meals. (Fry sizes are completely subjective) I went back to the counter and asked, "Is this really a large fry?" She apologized again and said, "Oh, YOUR'S was the large meal." We sat down to eat and the gentleman who was just mopping the bathroom started mopping near our table. We finished our meal, said things like, "Bye" and "Have a good night," and were completely ignored again. Definitely not going back to this location even if I do ever try...

If i could give them no stars i would. Ive had numerous situations with terrible customer service. Between this store being dirty, drug users in the bathroom, and disrespectful irresponsible staff, tonight put the icing on the cake. I dont know whos genius idea it was to allow children to run a business. When first walking to the counter we were ignored even after telling staff they had customers. Talking amongst themselves apparently were more important than doing their job. Police were called after accusations of trying to use false money. Now because these kids are so young, they have never seen an older bill. There was no manager on site to deal with these issues. Police did verify the money was indeed real and newer technology wouldnt apply to working on these particular monies. There was no apologies and i was told to call the number on their door. They didnt even have the decency to verbally give me corporates number. And as police are leaving, then they want to take our order. I was more nervous they would spit in my food. I would NEVER go back to this place. Im beyond disgusted with this place. The people here are just as disgusting and they need to...
