Club 54 — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

I had the worst experience in my life. I am 64 years old and I went to club 54 on March 15 with some widow friends, after a Widows Meetup. We were dancing, the dance floor was very crowded, so we danced by some tables. A couple in there 40s in green St. Patricks costumes told me that I had to move. I did not listen to their commands as I thought that they were bullying me. They then proceeded to push me, both of them, into a table. Mind you I am 64 years old being pushed by two people in their 40s, a man and a women, into a table. I talked to the manager, and she just told them not to do it again. I am very disappointed in this reaction and response. I hope no one has to experience this as I have. I recommend that no one visit club 54 in Sterling Heights as it is...

This place was a blast, they had good music and an upbeat atmosphere. The drinks were good and not terribly pricey, we went on a Saturday and there was a $5 cover. They had a band mixed in with a DJ, decent size dance floor. There is 2 nice pool tables and lots of seating. I will however let you in on something that we didn't know and that's that this bar has an older crowd base. My husband and I are 30-31 and we didn't mind being the youngest people there, lol. The security guy & bartender were nice but my friend & I went there & felt super judged by the older ladies there. We asked where the bathroom was & one of them immediately said “we don’t usually let people in without buying anything” when we planned on it. After they started calling us out on our age & made us show ID for a second time. Then we ordered 2 green shots & there were FRUIT FLIES in them. We felt so awkward we picked them out & bounced.
