Alkabeer Cafe — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

So this was really disappointing. I was searching for a place I could try the Dubai chocolate bar. I came upon this place and I was like this looks like a place I could get a good quality Dubai chocolate bar. WRONG. This $20 (btw) chocolate bar was made with cheap ingredients. No where is there a pistachio flavor or butter in sight. The texture is so off for the butter there is no way tht is pistachio butter. Not only that, it does not taste like pistachio. Now I've had a dubai chocolate bar before and no tht is not how it's suppose to taste. I Gave a piece to my sister when I got home and she immediately noticed how off the "pistachio butter" was. So disappointing spending $20 on a chocolate bar that is not even what it is being advertised for. And to think we really went out our way to try this place. I would have chosen another place to try such as farhat sweets which is where I went after. This Alkabeer place seems cheap and skimps on ingredients. Very cheap n low quality food! I tried the shawarma pizza which was Alr but did NOT have enough garlic sauce in it like a true shawarma does I had to ask for more. Which made it bearable cause it was so bland before. I wish I would have tried the chocolate there and asked for my money back. Instead of waiting til I got home so I could get my money back. Truly...

First timers into the Cafe 😊 We live just about 4 hours away but we really wanted to come and try something new! Here's the review ✨️ Hospitality 10/10 The man at the counter was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. He encouraged us to come back to try more items on the menu and even asked us after eating how we enjoyed our food. I ordered the Southwest bowl, was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla and he really enjoyed that! I of course took a bite and I liked it too!! We also tried their fruit shaped pastries. They only had a select few in the cafe at the time since they sell out fast but for the ones we did try, Those were very good. Our favorite two had to be mango and pistachio. As for the cafe itself, It's really clean inside including the bathrooms! Lot's of open space, tables are far enough apart so you have enough space to eat and relax. This was definitely worth the drive!!! ✨️

UPDATE: We returned the next day as soon as they opened to try the rest of the Fruit pastries and 2 other food items on the menu. Everything...

we were excited to try this place after we had seen munching with minhaj on IG post about it.

I got the Lavender Vanilla Latte and my husband got a cappuccino as well as Ferrero Rocher pancakes. unfortunately it was not a good experience, the latte was TOO sweet, it felt like i was drinking sweet cream creamer with ice and a shot of espresso. My husbands cappuccino wasokay he didn’t like it .. the pancakes i would rate them a solid one, there was too much baking soda in it as there was a sour taste to them, and overall, the presentation of the pancakes was extremely horrific.

OVERALL: — staff 6/10 (they were normal, no greetings were made)

— ambiance 8/10 (clean and spacious)

— Food 1/10 ( presentation plus quality was so not great)

— bang for your buck? we spent around 20 something not worth it...
