My experience sucked tonight at Zarzoor. When we walk through the door, the hostess wants to seat us at a table that's empty, but needs to get cleaned. This table wasn't cleaned until eight minutes later after two other families walked inside. We get seated at our table and it takes a while for a waiter to show up, but as we were waiting we got our waters! As a family of 5 at the table, four waters were placed down for us, and one included white pieces floating inside prior to drinking. Once she came back with two more waters the excuse was "it's getting really busy." Our waiter finally comes, no smile, no greeting, and he took our order by memory. He did not bring us any bread, or of the pickled cabbage that all the other tables got as soon as they sat down: we had to ask for ours. We finally get 3 bread 25 minutes after being seated, and having to ask. With five hungry people, this was gone in minutes and our waiter was taking care of every table in the vicinity but ours. Our appetizers come and everything is okay to say the least, still no waiter around often or refills on our waters! Our dinner comes and to our surprise: ITS COLD! Once our waiter finallyyyyy comes around and asks how everything is we tell him the situation and he takes it back telling us it will be REMADE. He comes back 10 minutes later and all they did in the back was "reheat" it. To no surprise, our food was not remade and barely hot! Also, our food did not come with the grilled vegetables as it said it would on the menu. At this point we are pretty upset with the food and service. A boy comes by our table with some toppings and asks how everything is and we say it's still cold, but there's not much to do since it's already been reheated once. He must've told a man of "importance" what happened because this man comes to our table ready to cause a scene! The conversation between the man and my husband goes like this:
man: "What is the problem over here?" husband: "There is no problem besides the food being cold and us not being taken care of." man: "The food is NOT cold because I heated it myself!" husband: "I'm not trying to cause a problem, but that's not true, everything was cold."
The man, clearly frustrated that he didn't win this one, walks away with not another word. No sorry, and no possible solution for the paying customer. How unprofessional. We got up and left all the food where it was, because why take it home and throw it away there. $191 went to waste coming here, we will not be back.
To the future customers thinking about coming; dont! Save your time, money, and energy by not coming to this negative...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion on beautiful Saturday, a family members college graduation. They don’t take reservations so they expect to handle large gatherings with ease. We were a table of 16. I have dined here before and absolutely loved the food even though a bit pricer comparatively. Today I saw side of them, which was very disappointing and completely ruined our experience. We waited 30 minutes to be seated to a in the process of being cleaned table. No server came, so we went up to order family platters. Later the server came with bowls of soups and salad, at this point we only had spoons. He said the entree would take some time and if I was interested in ordering an appetizer platter, which I did. We no forks to eat the salad, the appetizer arrived shortly, sadly there was no serving spoon or bread for us to eat the food with. Half of our table received water mugs, the other half plastic water bottles. Still no silverware. Finally we had enough and asked to speak with the manager, he asked what was the issue. I listed the issues instead of listening he said to lower our tones, he said he will look into it. We sat down our main entree’s arrived, we got some silver ware at this point, the bread also arrived. We were told staff was being exchanged, this was 5pm and also they ran out of silverware and cups. So why serve food, what are we supposed to eat it with? Three coffees were ordered, only two came, one had to be asked for again. So here is the part that got our heads scratching, how were they able to serve tables around us and behind us which had even more people and sat after us with no shortage of anything. If you want service with a dash of discrimination than feel free to dine in here. I will no longer be a returning customer here. Shame on you Zarzoor. The manager Wayatt lacks professionalism and never came to check if...
Read moreI came here based on a review from a public reviewer who post on Facebook
I got the chicken Shawarma sandwich on Iraqi bread as Recommended. I also got up fattoush salad.
I did not care for the Iraqi bread. It was very chewy but not much flavor and I don’t feel it added anything to the chicken Shawarma. Next time I’ll try a different bread for the Shawarma. The reviewer had said that the garlic sauce is very mild there without the usual flavor from a chicken Shawarma. And I agree it was very mild but still a good sauce. The problem was. it was only seemed to be on the end. None was in the middle. With the chicken being so dry and no garlic sauce it made the sandwich dry and tasteless. I will know to order a side of garlic sauce if I get that again. I felt the chicken was good quality. It just didn’t have much taste and was dry.
Now to the salad. When I got the salad at home, the bag was wet and I couldn’t figure it out. I thought the dressing might’ve opened up. I looked around the bag, and there was no cup of dressing. That’s when I noticed they had dressed the salad in the container. They applied the dressing to the salad. Which is unheard on a to go order. I was very disappointed in this. Because I was going save the salad to eat a little later. But now it will be soggy and probably not edible.
And lastly, I felt the young lady at the to go order counter wasn’t very friendly. There was no pleasant trees, no smiles no greetings.
I definitely think they deserve a score higher than a three, but I don’t believe they deserve a four so I didn’t wanna mark...
