Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Sterling

This is hit it miss on service. Go here somewhat often and we have had avg service and we have had very bad service. We have 9 kids so when we take everyone out to dinner it can be a production to do. We have gotten it down to where one of my older teenage daughters will write down all the kid's orders, with sides for the server so they don't have to go around the table and get it from each person individually. Most often the server greatly appreciates this as it makes everything much easier for them. We had one time a waitress misread the entire order and blamed it on not getting it from each child on her own. She then seemed to completely avoid the table, when my 8 year old asked a server that was walking by for a fork she answered very snobbishly "um, I'm not your server" and walked away. No doubt our server had told her friends that night the "we" screwed up the order and she was already sure she wasn't getting much tip. In the end the manager did try to make things as right as she could. My wife and I recently went back on a date night with just us, the waiter was somewhat more attentive, but just looked stressed and busy, constantly walking fast if not running around, it was after 9 so not sure if he was pretty much taking care of the whole dinning floor alone, it looked like only one other server was on the floor and she kept having to ask him questions, so guessing she was new and our server was just having a stressful night, not impolite by any means but didn't seem happy to be...

After ordering a basic 10 wing traditional wing meal, and a 3pc chicken strip ( during a very non-busy time), the wife and I sat and waited. After rougly 20 minutes, we watched a solo customer come in and take a seat two barstools away. We watched this customer order and receive his order of traditional wings, in roughly 10 minutes. We were then told by the same server, that due to shift change, our order was taking a little bit longer?? When I had ordered, I did ask for the wings to be fresh, and not leftovers from the afternoon rush, or from under a heatlamp, as I have experienced from this place before. I was told that was not a problem. Needless to say, the wife actually did get some really fresh chicken strips, but the buffalo wings were cold and very aged in a heavy sauce. I asked for fresher wings, and was told "sorry". I was then told after the wings were taken away that a new batch is being cooked and would take roughly seven minutes. When I got the "new" wings, the wife had obviously eaten most her meal, and then got to watch me eat mine. Disappointing, have been eating at this BWW for years, normally order the sampler appetizer because it has a little of everything. When I do eat inside I always ask if I can sub the onion rings for fry’s or potato wedges because onion rings make my stomach upset also just being honest never have really though theirs were anything to write home about. Normally this is ok, as I have asked 4-5 times now and have never been met with any resistance. Tonight I had decided to eat at home and ordered delivery which I wouldn’t normally do from BWW, I called after placing my order to ask if they would do the same thing they always do for me with this item and after a short wait am told the manager won’t allow any substitutions on this item, and that they are sorry. Makes it hard to comprehend why they would do this so many times for me in the past (btw by past I mean just 2 months ago when I was last there) but this one time without being face to face with me refuse. Either way I don’t think I will be revisiting this BWW anytime soon, their prices keep going up and their quality and service keep going down.
