Forequarters BBQ — Restaurant in Sterling

Was passing through town and stopped here based on Google reviews about the brisket. I got the order to go.

I have never had brisket this tender and succulent. Ever. The brisket sandwich had two huge, thick slices of brisket. It came with a small cup of his bbq sauce. You could put that sauce on a shingle and I would eat it. Next time I would ask for two cups. I was dipping pieces of meat into the sauce as well as putting it on the sandwich.

I also got the pulled pork mac & cheese for lunch the next day. Lots of pasta, not that much meat. It had a little heat, but it needed something else…if I was home I’d probably add salt, garlic, onion, and Worcestershire sauce (just because 😁).

The sides were coleslaw and potato salad. The coleslaw is creamy and has a tang—might be pickle juice. Very yummy! The potato salad also had pickle juice in the dressing. That was missing something. For me I think I would add onion, egg, and a touch more salt.

10-26-25 Made the hour drive again for the awesome food yesterday. The place was empty. I didn't understand it. The food is always amazing. The service is always great. The prices are very reasonable and there are always leftovers for lunch the next day. BUT........ 10-27-25 Today I was looking up the restaurant on Google maps. That restaurant has the best rating in that area. The surrounding restaurants show up on the map. For his building, the music store is what the map shows. You have to really zoom in to get Fourquarters to show up on the map. Even when you search "restaurants" you still have to zoom in further after the other restaurants populate. Something seems very fishy.

One of my favorite places to eat. So worth the hour drive. The loaded baked potato was amazing as always. The baked beans are so loaded with pork that they are the best anywhere. You won't get a better value for your buck. Prime rib is on...

Well I will start by saying there is not a single establishment in this town that compares to the Food Quality, or Customer Service and it boils down to the pride taken in the workplace. Additionally it shows when somebody has taken everything they ever worked for and invested it into one place. That being said I love this place and I can say with out a doubt you will NOT find better BBQ from here to Kansas and if you can't agree you obviously have never had the Briskit here !! A+ Highly Recommend.
