Be sure to take mace with you, as when you are in most of Steubenville. I was there, and harassed on multiple occasions by drunks etc. One time two people had the drunk held down, cop came, he let the drunk get up, whom proceeded to come over and harass me, while the cop just watched. Only after I almost got assaulted by this guy, and a backup came, did the cop do anything besides watch. So don't assume you are safe, even if a cop is at the place! And Yes, the Pizza is cold and terrible sometimes. Its a hit miss thing. Well, still the same town, new owner toook over, Pizza was real good once, then flopped the next. Sooo who knows. Still a dangerous town. They should have moved into wintersville, they keep the riff raff out. Also of note Santina's Pizza over in follansbee, they are burried behind burger king over there, hard to see, but if you like FRESH they have the freshest ingredients I've ever tasted. Also very clean. They take a lot of price in their place. And, no crime, safe area. Ate there again last night, pizza was crappy. No customers. Tested RAys against DIcarlos bought 1 piece at dicarlo's one at rays, rays was fresher, crispier crust. ...
Read moreI personally don't consider this pizza, and after finding out how this particular place does it, I'll skip over to something else. There are a few other similar places that do the same thing in the area. My first experience; I received Two cold slices, Cheap 90cent slices, they asked if I wanted them heated up, and regular??? I didn't have any clue so I Got two cold slices with fresh cold cheese sprinkles on top and two pieces of fresh cold pepperoni on it. The two behind the counter were young guys and my initial impression of them was half baked.. I guess good semi intelligent help is hard to come by for a place like this. So the square slices with sauce is something I've seen put out at buffets, adding shredded cheese and toppings with out cooking it again or initially is something I would think a drunk college kid would do right before he passed out. I guess it's a local thing so...

My "Pizza Stop" when I come back home to Steubenville to visit from Vegas(This was My place when I lived in Steubenville from the Mid '60's to May,1976(When I moved to Vegas). My Uncle always runs up with Me to Di Carlo's! Just as I remember! The waitstaff was very PROFESSIONAL & COURTEOUS ( Having been a Food & Bev. Director at one of the hotel/casinos in "Old Vegas", I know what to look for in Customer Service & Food Quality) The Pizza was HOT & FRESH (LOADED with EXTRA CHEESE!) and VERY TASTY! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DiCarlo's Original Pizza (In fact, this was My Mother's stop when She went to Catholic Central High School in the...
