Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Stevens Point

I ordered a birthday cake from this Cold Stone more than 24 hours in advance and scheduled a pickup time. When I arrived over an hour after my requested pickup time, the cake still wasn’t ready. I was told to come back in 30 minutes. My husband returned later, and they admitted they lost the order form. Instead of making things right, they offered him a large ice cream and half off a cake from the case, but he didn’t realize the original cake had already been paid for. So he ended up paying for a second cake.

When I explained we had already paid for the first cake, he went back, and the staff simply handed him a $20 bill for the second cake and let us keep it. This was not handled professionally at all. We should not have been made to pay twice or left to sort it out ourselves.

the staff told me i could get a free waffle cone for leaving a review. (even a bad one is what she said)...awesome! $8 and change later i walked out with a "free" cone. apparently the cone is separate upcharge from the ice cream and is not included. the grandsons ice cream bowl was another $8 because of the marshmallows and choc chips they up charge you for everything.

the ice cream is decent, but not for the price and upcharges for anything you may add. the staff was very misleading and had a hard time explaining why the bill was so much it was not until i examined the receipt and asked both of them the breakdown of the bill when they both admitted "i guess we should say it is just the cone".

king kone is way better and half the price, even culvers is better as when you get a free cone from there it includes...

Awful customer service. I was the only customer in the store and I told the employee it was my first time trying Cold Stone Creamery hoping she would have guided me through their ice cream options but instead she just stood there looking annoyed as I spent 10 minutes reading all the signage myself. What I ordered (a small) ended up ringing up to over six bucks and when I politely asked what made it six bucks she said, sounding annoyed, well the ice cream you picked was 5 dollars to begin with (idk... I just pointed at a picture and said I'll take that).... The young lady who was working is clearly not cut out for customer service!! The ice cream was of course...
