On Sunday 4/9/23 my girlfriend and I stopped at BWW and had a poor customer service experience from beginning to end. The hostess had a poor minimal greeting with limited to no communication as she did a rolling stop type of job seating us at our table.
The entire restaurant was at minimum capacity, with only a few tables and booths filled. It was not a busy or rush hour type of occupancy amount.
Our server started out okay and got us sodas. We placed our order. Our sever left to enter the order, and that's when the remainder of the visit accelerated down to the lowest form of service.
When receiving a refill while waiting for our food, our server didn't remove any of the cups or serving trays that were on our table. Evey item that was added to the table was not removed until we paid our bill at the end. My order was requested to have only drums and no flats. When I received my order, it was a regular order mixture of both.
Our waitress was sporadic in her follow-up with our table. After about 15 minutes, she dropped the bill off on our table and left with zero instruction or communication. After another 10 minutes passed. I took the bill up to the customer service desk to pay and was denied that option. I was then told that I needed to wait for my server to come get the bill at my table. I was not offered any additional explanation. After a few additional minutes, the server finally came to the table and ran my card to pay the bill.
My girlfriend and I left the restaurant very displeased with the customer service. I then called to speak with the manager at BWW to make them aware of the situation.
The person who answered the phone stated her name was Lauren and she was the manager. I then informed her about my experience and the poor customer service received. Lauren's immediate response stated that she had just gotten in and she was unaware of the situation and then gave a general explanation of why things happened the way they did even tho she stated that she just started her shift.
I had already paid my bill. I was not looking to get anything for free. I was not looking for any type of compensation or coupons, etc. But as stated at the beginning of my call, I just wanted to inform them of the poor experience in hopes others would not have to have a similar experience on Easter Sunday.
Both my server and Lauren failed the basic understanding of customer service and in the managers case there was minimal action required from her but her actions were still defensive and dismissive instead of looking for an opportunity to improve the situation. Even a simple "we will look into that" would have been leaps and bounds better than the no solutions and no customer service that was received by the "manager."
Again. Even now, I am not looking for any financial reimbursement, coupon, etc. My only hope is that this post will help others avoid poor customer service at the Steven's Point BWW...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been to Buffalo Wild Wings in Stevens Point many times. I have enjoyed their food, drinks, music and service through the years. Wednesday July 31st, 2025 was a whole different experience. I usually sit in the bar area and have spectacular service, this time we sat in a booth by the windows. It was a very long day dealing with home issues, my friends and I wanted to go somewhere to enjoy decent food, great atmosphere, and good drinks. Our server was young and sweet, but very ignorant. I asked for a Brandy Ole Fashioned sweet with cherries and a orange. She asked me what kind of alcohol is Brandy. Then I requested a double captain and Dr Pepper, she then asked me what kind of alcohol that was. I will admit I did start off strong with 2 drinks and a shot. 30 minutes later I requested another Captain and Dr pepper. The server stated I need to finish my drink before ordering another one. So I did and the server came back 10 minutes later, I requested another captain and Dr pepper, but she stated I need to wait a whole hour to order another alcoholic beverage, my friends asked the server to make sure that's correct. She chatted with the manager and bartender, came back and stated I have to wait another whole hour. Mind you Buffalo Wild Wings is deceived to be a mix of a sports bar and family friendly establishment. They have many UFC fights and Sports on their 15 or more TVs. I'm sure most people going to watch these events aren't wanting to have 1 drink an hour. Plus they have Happy hours between 3 and 6 with discounted beverages. So we are only allowed 3 alcoholic drinks in a 3 hour period for happy hours...???? It defeats the purpose of marketing and profiting. So my friend decided to order the same drink and the server and manager watched us like a hawk for 10 minutes. While the server forgot to put in our second order of bottomless appetizers. She did put in a double order after forgetting. We also requested celery and carrots for our wings which we didn't get. On top of all of this she didn't ask about our reward points and my friend insisted. It was a $110 check so she could have gotten decent points. They did try but it was a no go. I'm not a person to complain or put a bad review, but this was a whole different experience. I've been in the hospitality and restaurant industry for over 20 years. I have worked in food chain like Applebee's, Chilis, Ihop, family restaurants like Blue top and Happy Wok, and supper clubs like Skyclub. Never have I ever seen or experience something this bad before. I still left a $20 tip and was polite, but I will not invest my time in the Stevens Point Buffalo Wild Wing for a very long time and continue to tell my friends about this bad...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook about five minutes to get seated even though they were very slow along with three different staff members walking up just to turn around without greeting and walk away. However once seated our waitress was pleasant and quick to take our orders. We had four individual dinner orders along with an appetizer. One dinner order came out then about 15-20 minutes later our appetizer got served at same time as the other three individual dinner orders. Only reason we ordered the appetizer was to munch on that as we waited for our dinner to come at same time so we could eat together as a family. Obviously was not the end of the world nor were we upset just not impressed. Waitress didn't come back until we were done eating and when she did only asked if we were all fine and if needed to go boxes. Never did follow up after serving food to see how everything was or need refills on drinks. Once she gave us to go boxes came back with check face up on the edge of table and just said have a goodnight. Was not by any means horrible service however back in the day when I was a waitress that was considered poor not etiquette service. The wings we ordered were outstanding! Not fatty and plenty of meat...boneless and traditional. The smoked house shredded bisque was a nightmare overly loaded with BBQ and far from shredded. Two bites in and rest was $11 of garbage. Cheese curd bacon burger was equivalent to size of double cheeseburger from McDonald's...definitely not worth the money on that either but was at least editable. Bloody Mary was good outside of the spicy seasoning on the rim of glass via celery salt and on came with one small sliced pickled, smallest green olive and celery stick I've ever seen. Also did not come with chaser so if ya want one that will cost extra for mini glass(about two shots) of your pick between only three beers out of their multiple on tap. Haha We love the wings so most definitely would go back for those but that would...
