I went to This Is It because I had an excellent experience with them in the past. I am a Rib Tip junkie and prior to this visit, I had wonderful experiences. I ordered my usual Rib Tips along with cabbage and green beans. After the preparer fixed my plate, I had to wait for over 15 minutes to get to the checkout. There were 2 customers who had been waiting in line to check from the time I entered the store. They were patient but rolling their eyes, which was a clear signal that they were being subjected to unacceptable customer service. After waiting for about 10 minutes to order my food, 5 minutes to have it put in the container, 15 minutes waiting to pay, I finally sat down to eat.
After an accumulated 30 minutes, I finally got to sit down to eat. The cabbage was tasty. However, the Rib Tips didn't even resemble Rib Tips, and I can say that after visiting Chicago, Indy, Memphis, several other vendors in Atlanta, and even This Is It when I visited a year ago, this was a disaster. I wound up putting the container back in the bag and placing the container with the entire meal in the trash.
Also, when a very nice young lady who prepared my container was taking what appeared to be sweet potatoes from a nearly empty pan and placed it into the replacement pan, she placed the empty pan on the counter. She moved at least 95% of the residual food from the empty pan to the replacement pan. The gentleman from behind the counter, who certainly looked like the owner, began speaking harshly to the young lady and told her to get absolutely every morsel out of the empty pan, and he meant every single morsel!!! This was very poor optics to customers who were experiencing poor customer service at that time.
This experience suggested to me that the company was experiencing financial problems and possibly management issues. I am Director of Sales and Marketing for a large company, and I see these types of issues when management is experiencing...
Read moreI ordered two pans of dressing for Thanksgiving online. Per the email sent out to customers, it was to my understanding that all pre-orders would be received via curbside pick-up. When I arrived to pick up my order Wednesday @ Stockbridge that was not the case. We were instructed to call upon arrival so our orders could be brought to our cars. However, all four times I called the line was disconnected/busy. The main reason for ordering my dish is because I am currently suffering from health issues and am also wearing an arm brace that prohibits me from preparing my own. I was not expecting to have to get out of the car at all because that defeats the purpose of curbside pickup in its entirety. To make matters worse, there was absolutely NO social distancing being practiced or enforced inside - in the midst of a pandemic. After finally receiving assistance, my order was brought to my car with the help of an associate and manager.
To top off my experience, I received $100 worth of dry, mushy, unseasoned dressing that barely edible. It was AWFUL even after following the instructions and heating it up. I have sent a message online attaching my receipt and pictures of the dressing and have yet to hear a response or a refund. My family had a whole Thanksgiving meal without dressing. I thought I could trust such a self-proclaimed establishment and it is infuriating to have the experience I have had. I am not aware of what Cook prepared it, but there definitely needs to be some training done on the cooking and customer service end if this is going to represent your restaurant. If I could rate 0 out of 5...
Read moreI was there with my fiancé and his elderly mother. It was out first time. We wanted the Beef brisket which we were told by a young man to wait about 10 min. Well 10 min turned into 30. So I went to the counter to inquire about them. The young man said he had no clue and he went in the back then came back out and said he didn’t know where the cook was....I pleasantly smiled and said ok, can you let us know when you find the cook. 10 min later I went to inquire again, the young man was so fluster not knowing what to say and then out of no where this other man walked by, I said excuse me Sir I need some help please. And he instantly became “Superman” to me and my family. He personally went to my family and apologized when he found out how long we had been sitting and waiting, He made sure my mother n law was comfortable and immediately got drinks for us to have while waiting. He rushed to the back after making sure we were fine. And just like magic Hot ribs came out. He served us our plates and was the most polite, considerate gentleman. His name, Darian “D” saved the day! Because of him we will definitely continue to come and support “This Is It” And to top it off the food was delicious, everything was so tasty. D and the food definitely made our evening pleasant. Thank You D for...
