Was in the area and found this place near. I am a little skeptical of restaurants next to gas stations, but the reviews were good. You really have to read in depth on the reviews because not everyone gives honest feedback.
This restaurant is extremely clean and looks brand new. Clean restroom. A little language barrier but no real problem. Card machine was down so we had to Zelle, cash app or cash. We donāt recommend accepting cash, especially next to a gas station in South Atlanta. There is a sign āfood is made freshā so we expected a wait, which was fine. There is a toppings bar in the front next to the door. It has some coverage but needed more. There were flies in it. Maybe move it or just give it to guests as needed.
The wings werenāt very crispy and Iām thinking itās because of the wet sauce they put on it. It drips out if you donāt hold the box square.Maybe just dry rub. The wet sauce looked like oil. Fresh meat, but the lemon pepper wasnāt very noticeable. Almost had a buttermilk taste. The fries were delicious.
Shrimp Ceviche was fair. Some of the chips were stale.
3 birria tacos-The shell was fried too hard and made it like a hard shell taco. Only onions and cilantro inside. The meats were a bit dry. The soup sauce they give you for dipping it has flavor, but my meat was dry still. Asada, Pastore, chorizo.
Tripe Torta was fair price & portion. The people seemed very nice with great service. I appreciate the clean environment and nice bright lights with ample free parking. Typical American Mexican menu. 3.5 on food today but I gave the four star because I feel that they have all they...

Stepping up to the counter, I was initially a bit overwhelmed by the extensive menuāso many tempting options! However, the cashier on duty was an absolute gem. They were incredibly patient and took the time to walk me through the various offerings, clearly explaining the different fillings, toppings, and specials. Their enthusiasm and knowledge made navigating the menu a pleasure, not a chore. āAfter their excellent guidance, I settled on a burrito, and let me tell you, it was a superb choice. From the first bite to the last, the burrito was a delightful symphony of flavors. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the seasoned meat was tender and juicy, and everything was wrapped perfectly in a warm, pliable tortilla. It wasn't just "good"; it was one of the best burritos I've had in a long timeāperfectly balanced and generously sized. āThe combination of the amazing customer service and the truly delicious food makes El Patron standout spot. It's rare to find such high-quality food paired with such friendly and helpful staff. If you're looking for a quick, satisfying, and genuinely pleasant dining experience, I highly recommend stopping by. Their team, especially that wonderful cashier, clearly takes pride in what they do. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu, armed with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place is nice & customer service was nice as well. The 2 ladies that took my order were great. However, the food was 4/10 HONESTLY. To be clear, iāve eaten plenty of Mexican food & been to Mexico 3x this was nowhere near authentic. I wish i took a pic of my food before trashing it but was to upset n starving to even do so. Sorry but the tacos were flavorless, nothing but meat & cilantro (i did ask for no onions tho) but again, Iāve eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants n this was by far the worst & most bland tacos (we ordered shrimp n chicken) . My nachos had very little meat. It was full of chips, lettuce & queso which also lacked flavor. I just moved in the area & was looking for this to be MY SPOT since it is walking distance from my place, but unfortunately i am not looking forward to a second visit. I am not a hard person to please but giving my honest opinion, this was...
