This was a horrible experience. We made a reservation online several days before going. I drove 18 hours to Georgia to visit my father who is dying of cancer. I got to the motel to find that the lobby/front desk area is locked. You have to talk to the night clerk through a bullet-proof plexi-glass window. There was already a man standing there, arguing with the clerk about the price of a room. It took at least 10 minutes before it was my turn. I tried to show the clerk the printout from my reservation, he wouldn't even look at it, he kept waving it away with his hand. He said my reservation was canceled because "it was for yesterday", I said sir, it was a 3-day reservation starting tonight. He said it was after midnight now, and since I hadn't checked in before midnight they thought I wasn't coming so they canceled my reservation and the room I reserved was no longer available. He said he had another room. So I said that was fine. The room was on the 3rd floor. I have bad arthritis in my knees so I asked if that's all he had? He said there was an elevator. We couldn't find any signs of an elevator. We ended up having to go up and down 3 flights of stairs. The landing at the bottom of the first set of stairs was full of rain water. My shoes got soaked. Each and every time we had to go up and down those stairs we had to step into 6 inches of water on all 3 days we were there. The room was supposed to have a TV. Well, to be fair, it had a TV but the TV had no picture, only sound. We asked the front desk if there was a trick to make the TV work? They said something about us needing to see the hotel engineer before 5 PM. We never ended up meeting the "hotel engineer" because we spent our days visiting my terminally ill father, and getting back to the room in the evenings. The room was shabby and run down. The bathroom had mold. The walls in the bathroom had been repainted at some point and you could see the brush strokes, and patches where they didn't paint properly and the old coat of paint was showing through. I hung a wet towel on the towel rack and one end of the towel rack fell off of the wall. The bathroom door handle pulled out of the door if you pulled too hard. I tried to plug in the lamp next to the bed and sparks came out of the outlet. The outlet itself, seemed loose and moved in and out of the drywall/plaster. On the first night, we had gotten in after midnight and we were exhausted from the long drive down to Georgia from Connecticut. We planned on sleeping in a little, so we hung the "do not disturb sign" on the door handle on the outside of the room door. at 9:00 a.m., the maid staff came knocking on the door and woke us up. On the 2nd day, we left early and hung the "Maid service requested" sign and left. When we came back, the room hadn't been cleaned, we didn't have any fresh towels. We went to the front desk to ask for new towels they would only give us 1 towel for 2 people and said we would get more at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. Well the next morning was our last day and we were departing before 9:00 a.m., The hotel staff did not seem to understand the concept of customer service. There was also so be free breakfast in the lobby, but there wasn't. I was not happy with the room or...
Read moreArrived at hotel with 2 kids under 12 and 1 adult and myself late Friday July 5th,A/C seem to be old when I walked in room but was blowing cold air, I’m not much of a picky individual so didn’t put too much thought in it the next morning the kids woke up coughing and I myself felt a tickle in my throat, but again no complaint. My family And I were in GA attending a softball tournament which I played in all day Saturday. We left the hotel about 10 am Saturday and were gone for the entire day and night until about 12:30 am . Arrived back to the hotel very tired, being that I am the team captain of my softball team I had to reserve another room for a teammate who could not make it back home to FL that night because it was so late. So I first went to the front desk reserved the room for my teammate got him checked in then proceeded to my room, the kids were sleep already, we took them to the room laid them on the beds. And I said it kinda hot in here but I had just came from play softball all day show I took a cold shower and came back out and I was still hot went over by the ac and put my hand over it and there was no cold air. So now I go back down to the front desk and tell the guy hey my rooms A/C is not working and their is mold right on the curtains above the brakes A/c unit by this time it is about 2:00am. When I report this to the front desk attendant, he gets an attitude with me. He’s going back and forth with me when I arrived and why didn’t report it to the other person, I told him i just got back from softball tournament and I had been gone all day, I said I just booked another room for me teammate just recently. So I go back to the room to wait on him. He’s check it out the A/c tries turning the knobs, pressing buttons, and now again the front desk attendant after feeling the hot air coming out of A/c and seeing the spots on the curtains starts arguing with me again. My teammate and I had plan to have a lil celebration drink after we all came out the shower, so while the attendant was there my teammates(2) arrived. So as they are walking towards the room, I tell them my ac ain’t working. So now the attendant is tell me “Why you bring these guys for me”? , threatens to kick my two kids, my friend and I out of “his hotel” because he is the manager. I was very humiliated by this attendant in from my my family and friends and other guest... , also some racist comments in reference to me being from the islands “the front desk attendant asked and answered “ where you from , Jamaica” which I am I not from. And said “ y’all don’t know what mold is”... I was very very furious but didn’t want him to abuse his powers and have me and my family kicked out of a hotel at 3am. So Allowed him to belittle me for the sake of my kids. After all that in the endless finally did get another room but the hassle was outrageous.
S/n : that weekend I made reservations for 2 rooms Fri and Saturday 1 room Saturday midnight To be treated like that after spending money with you guys was horrific. That attendant needs to be fired. I would definitely liked to...
Read moreI would first like to start off by saying the guy at the front desk is beyond rude and needs better customer service and communication skills!
Booked a double queen bed with my kids and fiance, when I arrived to the hotel to check in I had my brother with me as well because we planned on eating pizza and watching a movie. He was going to be dropped off when we were done. When I walked up to the counter I said hey how are you doing? He said no check in too many people! I said too many people how its 3 kids and my brother! He says who is staying in the room I said me my fiance and my kids, he told me he was refusing to check me in while I had my brother, that I had to take him home before I could check in. I told him that he wasnt staying the night and to show me where it says no guest are allowed, he still refused to check me in. I asked him who was the boss he said he was the boss but I dont believe him. So I called the customer service number and thats when he decided to proceed with checking me in
Once in my room the floors were extremely dirty so I went back up front and asked him for a broom! He told me no so I told him the floors are nasty and either I can sweep them or you can do it. He says that I need to wait until morning for housekeeping because he wasnt doing it and there were no other available rooms! I did eventually get the broom but the lack of care was beyond me
They need to learn how to talk to people and handle customer complaints properly. No efforts were made to resolve any issues, he met everything with negative energy and immediate frustration which is sad because besides the floors being dirty and there being old french fries in the drawer the rooms were actually nice and I WOULD have stayed another night but I rather go some where with better customer...
