Donut King — Restaurant in Stockton

I've been coming to Donut King since I was a little kid back in the early 90s (back when they had the little shop in the middle of the parking lot they're currently in) and this past weekend I had them make 24 doz donuts for my wedding reception. They handled the order expertly and were ready for pickup on the agreed upon day, no hiccups!

Their donuts are freshly made (even the 24 doz the day of the reception) every single day, and their prices are generous. You won't find a better donut shop, with better people, who not only care about the quality of their work, but their patrons themselves.

It’s very unfortunate that they charge $17 for a dozen, which btw is VERY EXPENSIVE for a mediocre donut. Mind you, I only got the plainest donuts and they were way over $1 each.

I only had to get donuts here because it was on the way to work. I don’t remember the price being this expensive before. The service could have been a lot better by including smiles from the girl.

They have cake and raised, old-fashioned and more. There's not a bad one in the whole store, But for me, their best pastry by far, Is their wonderfully glazed, buttermilk bar.
