Update: Tuesday, August 5, 2025 PM ‼️‼️WARNING: FOOD POISONING ‼️‼️ The only thing I had to eat all day yesterday was a three-piece white meal with corn and mashed potatoes with gravy. I had terrible food poisoning for the last 24 hours. My son picked up dinner last night and brought it over. He had the eight piece dark meat. I had the white meat. The white meat was barely warm and dried out. It should’ve been thrown in the garbage instead of being served. I know this was the source of my discomfort. Either either the chicken was held too long or was held at an improper temperature. I believe it was the latter. I called the store to let them know and the manager offered to replace the three pieces of chicken. Considering the discomfort I had for the last 24 hours, I felt at least she could replace my whole meal…not necessarily the whole order but at least my meal. Let this be a warning. Next time I will demand fresh and hot chicken. Not chicken sitting on the grill for the last hour waiting to be sold‼️🤦🏻♂️👎🏻
—————— My son picked up dinner from here last night. We like to include El Pollo Loco in our chicken rotation. It’s usually pretty good. It’s just plain good chicken with not a quarter inch of batter on it like some of the other ones. I ordered the three-piece white meal with corn and mashed potatoes and gravy. Tell you what… It was really good. He said the employees were friendly. The meal looks so appetizing. Decent size sides that are big enough that you can actually get enough to taste. I was worried about the white meat being dried out but it wasn’t bad. If I were the company I might consider changing suppliers for the corn. I was a little surprised at how tough the corn was. It should be a bit more tender. But overall, it was a great dinner. We...
Read moreI'm impressed with El Pollo Loco in the Trinity Parkway in Stockton, California. Employee taking our order was patient and kind. We had wanted to order the eight piece chicken family meal and she recommended the family feast which was a special that included the eight piece chicken as well as a salad, two sides, 4 churros, and tortillas. The chicken was very tender and nicely cooked. We also ordered a chicken avocado burrito which was huge and delicious. The churros tasted as good as any I have ordered from fancy restaurants in big cities. The side salad was large and had slices of avocado. I asked for extra salsa, plates, and utensils and the employee happily gave us everything for which we asked. The server recommended the mac & cheese as one of the sides, and that side was fabulous. We also ordered the pinto beans which had a little bit of spice to them. Customer service was A+. Accurate and friendly. Hard workers here.
The Creamy Avocado Dressing is fantastic.
The restaurant is located in the front of the Trinity Parkway shopping center, across the way from Target. If you're driving west on Eight Mile Road turn left onto Trinity Parkway, then turn left on the second entrance to the shopping center. We didn't know where it was. 10506 is...
Read moreWe literally go 3 or 4 times a year & just realized their specials change. We went for a grilled corn bowl we tried at the beginning of summer served in what they call a tostada. While placing the order the cashier looked confused. I said "it must be gone for the season" then asked, "do you have a tostada with chicken and avocado?". Cashier replied,"no we don't make that yet". My wife was confused & bought their $5.99 bowl thinking it was the chicken tostada. After paying $30 for our order. I read what the chicken tostada included & said aloud, "oh the tostada does come with avocado, we'll just get that next time." & we stepped back. I explained to my wife they call a fried tortilla bowl a tostada here and they DID have what we wanted but the cashier didn't help in explaining or providing alternatives like other fast casual dining places do. When my wife seen the order she understood what I meant and was a little disappointed. The food was hot, tasty, enough for leftovers, the place was cool with A/C & clean. That's why my experience was "ok", I think the cashier was new because he seemed a little nervous and apparently didn't know the menu. Or just not trained to give better...
