I visited Johnny Wokker on the 21st to try their food, which was good. However, my experience quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal due to poor handling of an incident. During my meal, I placed my retainers on the table. One of the servers mistakenly threw them away, and I only realized this after paying and preparing to leave.
I politely approached one of the employees, who I believe is the owner’s son, and asked him to check with the server about the incident. He confirmed that the retainers were thrown away and began searching the trash bin the server claimed to have used. I requested permission to search the trash myself, and while the son was cooperative and got approval from the owner, my retainers were nowhere to be found.
What disappointed me most was the lack of support from the rest of the staff. No one else came out to assist the son, who was left handling the situation alone. I returned the next day to speak with the owner, but all that was done was the son taking down my name and number, promising I’d receive a call. It’s now the 25th, and I have yet to hear back from anyone.
As a result, I am left with a $300 expense to replace my retainers. While I understand accidents happen, the way this situation was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional. I was not offered a refund for my meal or any form of compensation, which adds to my frustration.
It’s disheartening to have an otherwise enjoyable meal overshadowed by such poor...
Read moreFood here was VERY good, a decent price, and A LOT!
• (1) Combo: rice +pork belly, chicken wings: pork belly was crunchy but not overcooked, great flavor; chicken wings were NOT those tiny ones, cooked to perfection - not heavy but super crispy and great flavor • (2) Crab rice: real crab; great flavor • extra 6pc fried chicken wings • (3) sodas
The food came in shifts bc everything is made fresh.
The service was okay - I was a bit frustrated with our server: Here’s our convo: Me: May I have a Coke please?
Her: We have Pepsi products. It’s there on the menu.
Me: Oh, I don’t care for Pepsi. Can I have a Sprite or whatever … (I intended to say, “Or whatever is the equivalent of Sprite.”)
Her: (interrupts) Sprite is a Coke product. We only have Pepsi product.
Me: Fine. Give me whatever is the same as a Sprite. (Yes, with attitude bc at that point I was working hard to control my words and it was already written all over my face)
Overall, the food is very good. You can definitely share a plate!! We will most likely be back.
(I forgot to take pics when food came so these are more of...
Read moreWalking in to this place it looks decent but it reminded me of a pizza parlor they got big tables that literally if this place was busy we all be sitting like a family of 6 and the other tables are facing the wall like we at the bar. As for the cuisine there is limited options. I went here because of TikTok recommendations we ordered the crab and shrimp on thier menu that was marked at 18 and pad see ew with shrimp and chicken wings. We received our crab rice and pad see ew the portion to some may be good quality but for me was too much food for 2 people. The crab shrimp rice is very overrated for what was advertised. And the pad see ew was decent. The waiter forgot our chicken wings though so can’t comment it. As for when we left the shrimp crab fried rice was 27!!!! And the pad see ew was 18 my opinion it’s overpriced for two items and one drink. If your looking for a Thai cuisine restaurant just be careful of...
