âââââ Hungry AF â Shoutout to Ms. Zaria
Today was my first time eating at Hungry AF. When we walked in, we were greeted by Ms. Zaria (âZaâ). The place was packed, but she still welcomed us warmly and made sure we felt acknowledged while we waited to place our order.
While waiting, I noticed what appeared to be a manager addressing another employee in front of customers in a very rude and unprofessional manner. Honestly, that interaction made me want to walk out and not return. That employee later went to the back to speak with him privately, then came back to the front and took our order. She was the one who kindly offered our drinks and extra dressing on the house.
After we stepped outside for a bit, we returned to pay for the drinks and extra dressing. By then, the other employee had left, and Ms. Zaria was running the entire front alone. Despite the earlier chaos, she handled multiple customers with patience, grace, and professionalism. She remembered exactly what we ordered without needing to ask again, thanked us for our patience, and made sure we were happy with our food before we left.
In a time when genuine customer service is rare, Ms. Zaria stood out. She didnât let the earlier drama shake her, and she treated every customer with kindness and efficiency. Honestly, if it werenât for her, I probably wouldnât return after seeing how the manager handled that earlier situation. Whoever runs this location should know that Ms. Zaria is a true asset and the reason Iâll give Hungry AF another chance.
Employees like her are hard to findâtake...
Read moreI'm very disappointed. I ordered the Salmon Philly. I wished I could have paid for an upcharge and got a shrimp Philly made, but that is neither here nor there.
I ordered a combo. My fries did not have any seasoning on them. At their Candler Road location, they have this sweet and salty seasoning that goes on the fries. I thought that was standard. The fries at their Panola location came dry without any type of seasoning or salt. I had to go back into the store to get a side of seasoning salt.
Also, the taste of Salmon Philly was extremely different from one location to another. The Salmon Philly at the Panola location lacked flavor and was very greasy. My bread and the parchment paper was soaked in grease. Also, the technique of melting the cheese and the actual cheese itself was different at the Panola location. My food was a 3/10. Very disappointed.
Lastly, when I first entered the restaurant and when I came back to address my dry fries, I got stares from the cooks in the kitchen. That was very rude and highly unacceptable.
I will never come back to their Panola location again. Now their Candler Road location is something special. I went there 3 days in a row with no issues. No issues with my food or customer service.
I attached a picture. You can see how soaked in grease my bread is and how greasy the container is. I have half of my sandwich left but truly considering...
Read moreAfter hearing so much about Hungry AF, I finally tried it. I really wanted to like it but it was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience. The food was just okay - and waayyy overpriced. Meal pictured below was $33. I understand that food cooked to order takes time, but service was super sloooww. My order of Rasta pasta and wings took an hour. C'mon, y'all. There was only one person working the register, so she was taking orders, bagging, filling up the drink machine and cleaning. It seems like on a Sat. afternoon, there would be least 2 people working the counter??? The restaurant is very small and was crowded and loud .... there was no way to eat inside because all seats are taken by customers waiting for their orders. There are no tables, only counter dining. There was really nothing special about HAF food that one can't also get at the 999,000 other ATL wing spots - and for less $$$ AND (much) shorter wait times. So, I can say I went ... I saw ... I was underwhelmed and probably won't return. Your...
