New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Stonecrest

It’s the neighborhood Chinese takeout place. What more do people want? It’s designed to mimic every other Chinese takeout. Calling in and ordering is easy. Food is always hot and fresh. There are plenty of restaurants in the immediate area and I’d rather pass them up to go here. Popeyes made me sick the last time I went there.

The woman that takes your order is obviously the owner. If the people who leave negative reviews went there frequently they would’ve picked up on that by now. Her husband works in the kitchen and they are good people. Just like anyone else. They treat you as you treat them.

After only going here a couple times I had car trouble one time picking up my food. My car wouldn’t start. Rather than calling roadside assistance and having to wait. I went inside and asked the woman at the counter if she could give me a jump. She had her husband stop cooking to come outside and help me. She could’ve easily said no. I’m sure if I would’ve asked the same question at any of the area restaurants I would’ve walked away with a lot of no’s. Because of that they’ll always get my business.

Both times I ordered through doordash, the first time the order was correct! Second time not so much, everything was as ordered except the white rice was missing that went with part of the order. I called them and tell them, her answer was I could come get it. WHAT?! That was not the right answer. If after spending $25 at your restaurant then $6 delivery fee and a $3 tip that going to get in my car and drive the 6 miles (heavy traffic this time of day) to your establishment to get some white rice that should've already been in the bag? What should've been said is I will personally send your white rice to you, what is your address? Instead I cooked some white rice to go with my meal otherwise the meal was pointless. This place is HORRIBLE!!!!!! TRUST ME GO SOMEWHERE ELSSSSSSSSE!!!!!! I wanted wonton soup with extra green onions/scallions...they didn't even have any (so I knew the soup would be nasty). Then I ordered a small shrimp fried rice with extra vegetables. They didn't put the extra vegetables in there and when I asked the lady about it she had an attitude, asking me "what vegetables did I want!" .... um broccoli... corn... snap peas... smh! The rice was so I bland I had to use soy sauce which I normally don't use. That really didn't even help... smh. Waste of $8. I just gotta stick with my usual spot on Rockbridge!!!!!
