I dont think I've ever given a one-star rating before, but I was utterly disappointed with my experience at this location. Honestly, I think all IHOPs are going downhill, but this one in particular has hit rock bottom.
Came here after midnight with a friend and was seated fairly quickly since the place was pretty empty. One of the first things I noticed was that there was still holiday decor on the windows and it just seemed lazy that it was still there when it's almost February. The second thing that was off was when I asked for a Splashberry drink, which I always order. The server said that they dont make those anymore. I had to clarify that it was just this location because I ate at another location 2 weeks ago and they made Splashberries. I ordered a lemonade instead and asked her to add strawberry sauce to it. Turns out that the strawberry lemonade was amazing, but that was the only thing that was enjoyable.
I ordered my usual bacon temptation omelette and pancakes, which came out fairly quickly, but before the food came there was another server that made a loud announcement throughout the entire restaurant saying that they had to serve everyone's food in to-go containers because they were currently washing dishes. Soooo you mean to tell me that you don't have a SINGLE dish ready to serve food.
Food comes and my omelette looks great, but had no taste. This is my usual order so I am very familiar with what it tastes like, and this wasn't it...even the pancakes didn't taste great. My friend had cheese grits and they were so runny that he didn't eat them. When he said something to the server, she said that she doesn't like runny grits either, but never offered to bring more or do anything about it.
There was also a particular employee that was loud, argumentative with other coworkers, unprofessional, and used profanity. There was a manager present that looked barely 18 and did nothing about the shenanigans as if it was normal.....and after all that time, I still never saw a single dish. I even overheard another customer ask for a spoon and a server say that they had none!
I will definitely not return to this location, and sadly, I may have to just leave IHOP alone altogether. I have been giving a lot of grace because I understand that the pandemic has made things challenging all around, but this is just...
Read moreFirst off, where the manager at? You have an establishment full of kids and no manager on site and it shows. Multiple tables were just dirty and there were no customers in sight. Everybody just chillin. Anywho, after we were sat (party of 2), a party of 4 was sat. We got our food, it wasnt even hot. We didn't see the server throughout our meal. The next time we seen our server was when she walked to the party of 4 and said that their server was uncomfortable coming back to the table because one of them called her out her name. Them kids ain't said none of the sort. Crazy though, cause how would their server know when all of the employees were in the back the whole time? Anywho, we watched a party of 2 walk in and wait and noone ever came to the front- even after one of them came out the restroom and yelled that there were people waiting up there. They left.. NGL, I would have too cause what were y'all doing? In the midst of the 4 party walking out cause of what transpired, they walked back in and requested a manager. They said the manager wasn't there and the employees went back to the kitchen to gather while their server ran to the other side of the store when she heard that they were walking back in. Its obvious these kids don't have a lot of experience and they need to be taught and mentored cause the customer service was lacking real bad. To wrap this up, when our server came back, I requested the check and a to go sweet tea. I told her that I would like to tap to pay she said ok and left. When she came back, instead of having a to go sweet tea, she had her purse. When I asked about the sweet tea as we walked to the front to check out, she told me she would get it when she came back.. I paid and left. This location just need to do better and I blame management. I can't even say lead by example cause there was no one to lead..
I won't be back and y'all should find another...
Read moreService was just terrible. I'm really hoping it's a pandemic fluke, but it'll probably be a long time before they get the chance to prove it. They may have been understaffed but the real problem was they were unorganized. At least 4 people walked up to ask if anyone needed a table but no one was checking on people waiting for online or phone orders.
When someone finally came to the front door to help to-go folks, she was courteous, but obviously overwhelmed. She later asked me two more times if I'd been helped while I was waiting for the food. Also later when my food finally came (after me checking/complaining about the wait), it was missing items. The person at the front by that point had helped earlier by taking care of my receipt signing (so the main person could run around some more I guess). He asked me who my server was and then argued with me that he didn't take my money instead of actually checking the receipt and fixing the missing food problem. I mean this man was adamant that he didn't check me out- aggressive denial- like I had anything to gain by lying. The only thing that stopped me from firing the full force of this mouth back at him was a deep desire for non contaminated food.
And the order was still missing stuff when I got home.
The food was okay. Split decision breakfast was solid. Chicken Fajita omelet was just folded eggs with all the stuff that was supposed to be inside it pulled in top. The beef burrito bowl was meh. Pancakes on point as usual. Thank goodness for...
