Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Stonecrest

Worst customer service ever. Went into the store on October 2nd to pick up my online order. I went into the store and informed them that I placed an order on line and gave them my name and information. People came in and out while I stood there and waited 45 minutes. I interrupted the young man at the register 3 times until finally I had to ask for a manager. I informed my manager of my issue and he apologized and instructed the young man to get my order. He gave me my order and I looked inside to check my order and he messed up my order. I asked for the manager again and told him to take this food and give me my money back, I don't even want it anymore. He apologized, and took my receipt and offered me my same order the next time I come in the store on him and signed his name at the top of the receipts. I took the food and left.

Two weeks later, I come back to the store to get my meal and it was again one of the most unprofessional experiences you can have in a restaurant. Somebody please tell me why we have to have such poor customer service in our communities. Employees were fussing at one another on the line and in the kitchen and one of the managers was just as ignorant as the rest of them. A visiting manager came to my assistance but later had to refer it to the lone manger in the store. We, the customers and myself, could hear her tell the visiting manager, I don't know nothing about that, I didn't promise nothing. I don't know nothing bout that. Very unprofessional. She tried to act like she didn't know who the guy was who signed the receipt. Then she claimed he's not a manger. She told me straight to my face he's not a manger. I said maam, he said he was the manager and so did the other employees. She went to the back of the store a lady at the cash register said, he is the manger i don't know why she said that. After all this, she wouldn't give me my meal and said if you want a refund you have to call online order since that's where you placed it. I told her my issue is with the store, not the online system. When I told her I wanted the name of the store owner and her name, she tried to change some of her attitude. At the end of the day, I did not receive my meal and I am calling the district office. This is unacceptable and it always seems to be in our communities. Don't ever visit this store people....

WORST EXPERIENCE!

My husband & I are local entrepreneurs in the Dekalb County/City of Stonecrest area and we passed by several other Popeyes’ locations just to spend money in our neighborhood. To our dismay, we made the biggest mistake by patronizing this particular location on Panola Road.

The primary item we came for (CHICKEN!) we did not receive it. We also did not receive the condiments we clearly asked for.

Our order was placed via the drive-thru. The young lady who took our order spoke very clearly & got our order correct. However, when we approached the window, another young lady placed her hand out of the window as if to signal for us to stop. Ok, not a problem; however, the car ahead of us had pulled off. So, we pulled up and the young lady says, “I told you to stop and stay back there.” Alright, why? She then says, “My manager said your order wasn’t ready, so you need to stay back & not approach the window.” I knew we ordered lots of food and we were prepared to wait.

So, she parked us. About 10mins later, “Ms. Stop Sign” walks out on her cell phone, hands me the food. I asked if the condiments were in the bag, she stated yes. I checked the bag to see no condiments & no napkins. So, I proceeded to enter the restaurant to ask for the condiments. The Shift manager asked what did I need and so I told her what was missing, she grudgingly told her employee in the drive thru to grab my condiments.

Once we got home and emptied the bag, we found that our 6-piece chicken was not in the bag. My husband, drove back to the Popeyes to ask for our chicken. The shift manager asked for the receipt with a lackluster demeanor, proceeded to box up our chicken & gave a painful apology followed with additional sides & biscuits for the inconvenience.

Being residents in this area for the past 17yrs and being apart of the change taking place with the City of Stonecrest, we expected more but we were very disappointed. This particular store needs to undergo new training under new leadership.

The problem is not MAKING it right the first time, the inability to provide leadership to your staff & providing service to your customers. I get it, it’s a Friday evening and everyone wants to eat out. But do not make your customers suffer for your lack...

I used to like going to some of the Popeye's location like this one to get something to eat sometimes then I had to look elsewhere as I only go to Popeye's for something to eat once in a while.

Overtime most of them been crowded plus congested especially ever since they had crazy success with that chicken sandwich plus gotten worst overtime as well for some of these Popeye's locations where it became more difficult to get something to eat there since they do just drive-thru only since the pandemic happened earlier in 2020 while never making walk-in available later yet in 2021. Almost forgot to mention the customer service been going downhill since then as well, IMO.

Sure they have some good food except some/most of you people out there need to expand your food choices because there are more places to have some food to eat where Popeye's is not the only place to get something to eat.

Did Popeye's put some secret ingredient in their food(like they did the chicken sandwich when it was the new hotness) that keeps some/most of you coming back to them every time? because that place shouldn't be crowded like that almost everyday IMO. I tried out the chicken sandwich myself later on, IMO its not all that where its just ok plus its not that good where I got to get it again & There's better chicken sandwiches out there that's better.

(Then somewhere later on down the line in that same year Popeye's had to stop selling the chicken sandwich for a few weeks/months while having a serious investigation of what ingredients was put within/on the chicken that made people lose their minds leading to fights while a few pulled out bad weapon for that chicken sandwich. Once they put the chicken sandwich back on the menu we didn't see the craziness happening like they were hooked on that sandwich...
