Terrible and rude customer service. I am an attorney, and I have business meetings all over the place all the time. I was meeting a family at this place and had my daughter with me. When I walked in, I told the young lady at the front that I was meeting people for a meeting, but would order later. She was fine and since there weren''t many people in there, she gave me a table in an empty section off to the side away from the few people there.
My daughter sat at a table right next to me. While I'm at my table with clients signing paperwork, when LaKeisha a waitress decides to come over and harass, embarrass and chastise me. She asks if we are ordering, and I tell her that my daughter had ordered crab legs and was waiting for them; however, the family I was with planned to stay and eat dinner once we finished the paperwork. I also indicated I'd get something as well and sit at the table with my daughter. We only needed about 30 minutes for the paperwork / meeting.
She flipped out. She leaves in a huff (doesn't see if my daughter who actually ordered something may need anything). Mind you, there aren't any people in the restaurant waiting for seating and it is hours away from closing time. The owner/manager over, who asks "what y'all doing here?". I tell the Asian manager/owner the same thing.... She makes a face, mumbles something and walks off, then LaKeisha comes back with a worse attitude.
LaKeisha chastised me about how their restaurant is not an office and how we should all order something now. She didn't seem to understand that we didn't want grease and butter on the paperwork! She goes on to say that she doesn't care if I never come back (I have been there several times before to order personally). It was quite embarrassing and I regretted introducing the family to that place. What should have been a quick meeting preceding dinner turned into relentless rudeness - so embarrassing and unnecessary .
Finally, we order drinks and French fries.... Never even brought out! It is not uncommon to conduct business at a restaurant. Typically, you are given water and time; however these ignorant prejudice people (I think we would have received a different response had we looked differently. The idea of business would have seemed more legitimate, I guess) were too short-sighted and missed out. The crazy thing is that no one ever attended to my daughter who was actually ordering, and screaming for assistance!
On top of this, the waitress is fussing with her mask off and below her chin. No sanitizer or wiping was being done. Also, FYI, my daughter was not that impressed with the food.
Never again! I'm so tired of supporting business in my community that refuse to reciprocate by supporting the community it's in. It was a terrible experience that I have never encountered at a restaurant before when...
Read moreThis was our first time here. We were super impressed as we came in the building because it looked very clean and was super spacious. The place looks nice but when we came in the music was turned up super loud almost like going into a club versus a restaurant and this was at 12:45 in the afternoon Like you couldn’t sit back and relax while you eat because the music was turned all the way up. We sat at the bar. We noticed that they had a crab rum punch which sounded really good so my wife ordered it. Then two guys come out from the back, one with a Lowe’s 5 gallon bucket full of the rum punch ( which is fine as long as they clean the bucket obviously) The other guy took the containers that dispense The rum punch and put them on the floor with the spout touching the floor so that they could pour the drink in. I was super disgusted and we asked our server/bartender if we could change the drink. She was more than happy to accommodate us on that. So things got off to a rough start but it got so much worse as we sat there. We got there at 12:45 and did not get our food till about 1:45 PM. The whole time our server, Chiffon was running around like crazy! She was trying to serve people at the bar and serving multiple tables out in the dining room. Most of the tables in the dining room had five or six people. We were admired by her work ethic! But we really got upset at this gentleman that hung out behind the bar. He was at the bar the entire time we were there and it look like he was mixing/testing out drink recipes and making a few drinks for the dining room guests. But the whole time he had his headphones in on a FaceTime call with some girl. He would slowly walk around while our server was doing everything herself. That is not a good environment to work in. We spoke with the hostess on our way out and let her know how upset we were with the fact that this guy doesn’t seem to care about his team or his customers. He could’ve hopped over and helped but instead he cared more about who he was on the phone with. Our server was trying to ask him for help or a question of some sort and we watched him put his hand in her face and that was the last straw! On a sidenote, The food wasn’t very good either. The so-called Cajun fries are not even Cajun at all! It’s like a cheap knock off of checkers fries. So in conclusion they need to figure out what teamwork means, customer service means, and follow proper health code protocol. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I know that no food item or drink item even if they are in a container should ever be placed on the floor. If they are doing that upfront in front of people, what are they doing behind the...
Read moreWhen Keith Lee talked about terrible customer service - this is what he was referring to. First off our server spoke no English and continued to mess up everyone's order. Management was so ghetto and took their frustrations out on us when it was not our fault that orders were wrong. The bartender had the biggest attitude about making basic drinks on the menu. I also overheard the ghetto management tell them to put a small amount of liquor in the drinks which explains why we barely tasted any alcohol in our drinks. Food was bussin tho lol. I had a lobster tail boil bag with potatoes and eggs in their special sauce (extra hot). No complaints about the food. Got up to use the bathroom before leaving the restaurant and the buss boy threw away two of my drinks. Mind you my party was still at the table and was arguing with the server about our drinks being thrown away. The server literally was trying to explain to the guy that threw our drinks away that he'd made a mistake. He went to tell the manager and once again - attitude attitude ATTITUDE. I tried to calmly explain the mix up and the bartender starts going off about how it was my friend's fault because they shouldn't have let the guy throw away the drinks and that the guy wouldn't have cleared the table if they were there. If she would've calmed down and actively listened instead of blaming me and my friends - she would've understood we ALL did not leave the table - only I did to use the bathroom before heading out. It made me feel like she was trying to imply that I was just trying to get a free drink. I even offered to pay for the drink because I didn't mind paying but even then she had the biggest attitude and acted like I was asking her for both her arms and feet. So I took the one drink she grudgingly made (and complained and griped) and I just said okay - moving on and will not let her or this place steal my joy. With that being said, I would never come back. The food was good but we gotta do better when it comes down to service. Stop treating paying customers like you're doing us a favor. If you don't like your job - leave. If you are too ruled by your emotions and can't conduct yourself in a professional manner - customer facing jobs may not be for you. I'm not expecting to be treated like royalty but I'm not expecting to go somewhere and be given someone's a$$ to kiss - especially when I'm spending my hard earned money. A little respect goes both ways and a long way. Would not return to this location 😕. The dj was really nice...
