I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience with Ayuna and her team from Glitz of Atlanta, especially for anyone considering their services.
I’ve been a returning client in the past and had trusted Ayuna to decorate for my 30th birthday celebration/Baby shower this past April. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with how things turned out, from the lack of preparation to the poor quality of the setup on what should have been a very special day.
Despite our prior discussions, the event was not handled with the spirit of excellence. I flew in with high expectations, but the venue was not nearly ready when I arrived. Her team seemed lost without direction, lacked urgency, and when I asked about completion, I was met with shrugged shoulders and told I could “call her.” To make matters worse, Ayuna herself was absent and unavailable decorating for another event, leaving her team unsupervised on such an important occasion for me.
Several major issues occurred throughout the day: • Late arrivals: The backdrop, banners, and floor decal did not arrive until after 3 PM (My event was scheduled to start at 1 pm and was pushed back til 2 PM.) • Unprofessional setup: Balloons were purposefully popped loudly on the spot during the lunch just to make them fit the backdrop. The floor decal was not sealed properly, causing guests (including myself) to trip. Flowers were left on the stage sofa, and linens had to be fixed by my own team. • Missing items: The dessert carriage, candle centerpieces, and requested event colors were all missing. The room looked unfinished, with just flowers thrown together rather than the French themed vision we discussed. I paid more than enough money for my décor, and it is unfortunate that it wasn’t executed well. • Poor time management: Our venue time was also mismanaged; we only had the space from 2–5 PM, not 1–6 PM as communicated. We were rushed out by security, which added even more stress to the day.
What hurt the most was that I had to apologize to my guests for the delays and disorganization, which is not something a paying client should have to do. As a third-time client, it was unacceptable and avoidable.
On top of everything, I was promised at least a $600 refund due to the issues, but only received $300. For months, I have patiently waited and followed up, only to be ignored since June. She did apologize for how the event went in her absence, but an apology without follow-through is not acceptable. It’s especially disappointing to see that she is still coordinating events, yet has not returned the rest of my refund as promised, nor responded. As the owner, the least Ayuna could do is make things right, especially since I was gracious and understanding when her venue issue forced me to relocate the week of my celebration.
This experience left me embarrassed and extremely disappointed. Regardless of package level, clients deserve professionalism, communication, and for commitments to be honored. Sadly, that was not my experience with Glitz of Atlanta, and I would caution anyone considering their services to take this into account. I’d be happy to update my review once I receive correspondence and the remaining balance of my refund from Glitz.

Read moreI reached out to giltz of atlanta on instagram in regards to pricing for a wedding. She instructed me to provide her with my email so she can send me a questionnaire. I filled out the questionnaire on Sunday 1/31. The form i filled out stated it will be a one to two days to receive a response. I reached out to her again on 2/6. Her response was when was i free to chat she never replied back to the questionnaire. Big red flag. Don't ask customers to fill out questionnaires you don't intend to review and respond to. It's a waste of clients time. Any place that doesn't respect my time is not for me.
Update: the manager reached out to me and was very polite and helpful. I greatly appreciate it. We may have started iff at a rough start but regardless if i book with them or not I do appreciate their initiative to fixing the problem.
Second update: since the owner and assistant both named ayana i don't remember which is which but the first person i spoke with was respectful and nice helpful even. the second was extremely rude her tone was nasty. She stated her assistant called and apologized and based on my review i no longer wanted to do business with them so shes not sure why shes calling me. Lol its a total disconnect between both ladies because i was informed i would be getting a quote today. I guess not if you are not a celebrity i guess you cant get good service here. If the first person was the assistant she has ten times better service and etiquette than the owner which is sad.
I guess after my second update she decided to try to call me again and the first thing that came out her mouth was "lets try this again". Excuse me i'm a grown woman find someone else to play with. Ladies and gentlemen there are other vendors u can go to with less attitude and better service...
Read moreVery disappointed in Glitz of Atlanta (Ayuna Reynolds-owner) to say the least. I don't know if I was more disappointed in the lack of customer service and unprofessionalism or the overall look of the event, I contracted Glitz of Atlanta to do. I contracted Glitz of Atlanta (Ayuna) to do my 50th birthday party with the Great Gatsby theme. During consultation, I discussed my vision and budget with the owner of Glitz of Atlanta. Ayuna was taking notes and was very aware of my vision and my budget for decor ($3000). She even said when clients allow here creative vision, she could fully bring the vision to life. I did just that, allowed her the creative ability to so do. The decor was subpar, no thought put into it at all, the colors we discussed were not distributed throughout the event. It looks like my event was an afterthought. I contacted Ayuna the very next day by email to discuss my concerns and never got a response. Two days later, I had to contact her again regarding my concerns. There were things on the contract that were not delivered. Days later after finally getting in contact, she agreed to refund of some of my money ($500). Well, that never happen, nor did she communicate. I had to reach out again and she was rude, had a matter-of-fact attitude that I was even still contacting her again. She insulted me in saying I had basic money and that's the service I got. To make a long story short, if you're not a CELEBRITY or in the who's who, your treated differently and rudely but she will take your money and give you substandard service. I should have known from the beginning when she got agitated about me asking questions about my event in trying to decide to hire her, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she was black owned. To this day, no...
