I ordered a large beverage. No food, just a beverage, but when I got to the window to pay, I told the worker before she handed me the cup that I should have told her I didn't want ice. She handed me the beverage anyway and when I shook it, it was full of ice. I asked if she could take it back because it had way too much ice in it, and she then asked her leader who was standing close by. Her leader shook her head and said no. The worker then relayed the message to me that she could not take it back. I then pulled into a parking spot, and went inside to confront them on why I couldn't get a drink without ice. The leader then took the drink I returned and turned it upside down to see if it would leak. When she saw it wasn't leaking, she gave me another beverage that I originally ordered with no ice. She could have done the same thing at the window, and it's odd that she felt the need to inspect the cup/lid when all I wanted was a beverage with no ice. It's also odd for someone to say no to a customer for a simple request like no ice. She also never gave an explanation as to why they couldn't replace the beverage or take the ice out in the first place without me having to come inside to exchange it. I called Zaxby's customer service number to report the issue and was informed that the store owner would be notified. Seems like they chose the wrong person to lead the team.
Restaurants like these are notorious in trying to save every dime and nickel in their products/stock. You get less amount of a beverage/product if the cup is filled with mostly ice and a splash of what you wanted to drink. If you don't specify that you don't want ice, they'll load it almost to the rim with ice to save on the amount of product being dispersed, essentially cheating the customer. Also, some ice from restaurants can contain harmful bacteria if the machine is not cleaned properly. And for a worker to refuse to not give ice means they are stuck in their ways, they know what they are doing, and...
Read moreMy entire experience was horrible at this restaurant today. I waited 20 min in the drive through line. While waiting in line I was able to sign up for and place an order through your app(shows how long I was waiting). When I got to the window I was told I couldn’t pick my order up through drive though and I had to come inside(even though your app says you can).
Once inside I questioned the elderly lady as to why I couldn’t pick my order up through the drive through and she told me I could. Then when I explained to her what happened she switched her response and said no I had to come inside. “Online orders were holding up their drive through line” were her exact words. Am I not a customer? Didn’t I just wait in line for 20 minutes so wouldn’t this have already affected the drive through times? I debated with her for a couple of minutes about this then took my food and left. When I got home my entire order was wrong. I was given a salad with no dressing. How hard is it to put dressing with a salad? I also paid for two extra sauces for my chicken tenders and those were also not included. Additionally, I requested the salad with no cucumbers and it had cucumbers in it. All of this is printed on the receipt so all someone had to do was actually read the online order when fulfilling it. Everything that you all could do as establishment today was wrong. There was nit one thing...
Read moreI enjoy Zaxby’s for the most part. I mean; sure the chicken tenders are dry and the wait is long, but there are lots of other things on the menu. My experience with this particular location has been up and down. More ups than downs though. I prefer to place my orders from the app for the specials and because I want to just pick up my food and go. Sometimes that works out and sometimes it doesn’t. This location is right across from the mall, so it stays busy. The employees are very nice though and they are always professional. The service can be slow at times, but refer back to the location. Now I really came here today to talk about this new funnel cake. Listen to me……if you purchase this funnel cake expecting a Six Flags funnel cake; don’t. It is not. At all. It takes a few bites for your taste buds to forgive you for the disrespect and to figure out what you just gave them. The funnel cake is not flaky and soft. It’s more like spongy and tough. It didn’t tear easily nor did it melt in your mouth. Forget Six Flags; this isn’t even a parking lot carnival level funnel cake. The after taste is that of those butter cookies you used to put on your pinky finger at grandma’s house. It was not the worst funnel cake I’ve had, but they should go back to the drawing board on this one because...
