Me and my girlfriend lives in the Lithonia area and try out spots around the house. So I’ve been to vibes before because it’s a lounge and they are usually packed on weekends. So this Friday we said we were going to try their happy hour menu. We got there everything was fine, we got to the table and the chairs and table was dirty. I ignored that and went about my business. They had nice r&b music, it was not too packed, plus they had the games on! So I ordered a blueberry frozen daiquiri and my girlfriend ordered a lemon drop. The drinks were good I had no complaints. I ordered the fried shrimp for an appetizer and it was pretty decent. The batter wasn’t done all the way but seasoned perfectly. As we had our drinks we noticed that they make you pay 18% gratuity. No matter what !!! Also the waitress showed us no attention, she disappeared and would be missing for 20 or 30 mins. We had to ask other employees to get our waitress multiple time. And for the place to not be packed the drinks took very long to come out. I had spilled a drink when I first arrived, so I asked for napkins and I got my meal before I received my napkins. I ordered my food, I got the lobster Alfredo. The Alfredo came out pretty quick and off of first sight I seen the Alfredo sauce was very soupy. But I didn’t complain I wanted to try it. When I tried it the pasta was cold in the middle and I had a long blue hair in my food. It was obviously where there hair came from because it was only one lady in the restaurant with blue straight hair and she was the bartender. So when I told the waitress about the issue, there was no apologies, there was no curtsey. She just took the food and asked “what do you want to do?” I looked at her and smiled and said what can I do. She said “you have 2 options… you can get a discount and we don’t remake the food or we can remake the food” at this point my girlfriend has a hookah and I just got a new drink so I asked them to remake it. She left for a few seconds and came back and I proceeded to tell her never mind I don’t want it anymore, my appetite was gone and I was frustrated. When I got the bill I asked her where was the discount because my bill was 110$ and we only order shrimp, and 6 or 7 drinks that was 5$ a piece. She said “you asked us to remake it and then you said never mind” I continued trying to explain to her that she gave me 2 options and just because I asked them to remake it and then said never mind, doesn’t mean I don’t want my discount. So after a little back and forth I asked for the manager and the manager basically said she was too busy for me right now. So requested for her again and then she came out. When she came out she tried telling me the discount was her taking the food off of the order. So at this point im confused and I didn’t know what she was talking about. So after some more back and forth, the manager then says, the only way I can get a discount is if I order the pasta again. Which I was flabbergasted because they literally just told me 2 different things. So I went ahead and paid my tab because I was ready to go at that point. We went to Vybez to watch some b-ball and try the crabs on a weekday night. We have a high-end vehicle but didn't worry about it in the parking lot since there was a lot of security present (on their game but very nice too) which was a sigh of relief. We were greeted by several waitresses however since it was only two of us, we opted to sit at the bar. Tati was our server and we asked her several questions about the menu and even drinks too. We changed our minds and went with salmon bites, the full salmon, lemon-pepper wings, margaritas and a surprise mystery drink that Tati made. Meanwhile, the atmosphere was so good although it was not packed, we still enjoyed the music and the games on the TV's everywhere. The food presentation is so pretty with the flowers, everything tastes great, even down to the french fries which I rarely eat but I ate every single last one of them! Tati is a true server and what sets her apart from everyone is that she provided additional napkins right before our food came out, not just the tiny napkin in the silverware pack like we are accustomed to getting here and HAVE to ask for and WAIT for before we start eating- that's so important dear Owner. She also keeps your area clean which is a plus too. The gentleman sitting next to us took like 20+ minutes deciding on what he wanted to eat/drink but Tati was patient, kept looking to see when he was ready and when he was, she gave him great service too. There was a gentleman coming around to pickup your dishes when you're done eating and I saw security present many times while we stayed there for about 3 hours. I felt that the prices of the food and drinks were at a great price for the taste and proportions. I tipped Tati very well as she got my order perfect AND my bill matched my order too which is rare nowadays. Overall, we had a great time and won't hesitate to come back again. Give these...
