MO BETTER CHICKEN (STONECREST) — Restaurant in Stonecrest

09/2023 Review: It's still too much of a hit and miss with the chicken (fresh or been sitting). So, I ordered meatloaf, mash, and cabbage. I was told that it comes with rice. I declined it. They sat my mash potatoes with gravy under the meatloaf and poured gravy on top of the meatloaf. The gravy and mash tastes like it's from the box. The meatloaf, I can't describe but, it wasn't good even after wiping the gravy off. I will not order it again. When I took it back, the young lady said they don't sell meatloaf without gravy because it sits in it. I've never had gravy on meatloaf 😒. I asked to exchange it for the chicken. They did and the baked chicken was fine. The spicy chicken wasn't fresh 😩. I'm over this location. I've given like 12 tries at this point.

My review is for the stonecrest location. I was so excited when I found out that I didn't have to drive to candler rd anymore. I've tried this location 5 times now and it's not the same. The people are nice, service is fast, I love that they have a drive through, but the food isn't hitting the mark. So far I've tried the lemon pepper wings and I liked that they were small but they were precooked and seasoned afterwards - no. I tried my regular, 2pc fried spicy chicken. The chicken everytime has been room temperature warm and a little hard as if it has sat under a heating lamp. Yawl are known for having fresh hot chicken, this is not it. The spicy chicken and the regular taste exactly the same. Neither tastes like candler rd. I tried the fried fish. The fish wasn't seasoned at all. I threw it in the trash. 🤦🏾‍♀️😭 I will have to continue going...

Speaking of today the reason for the 1 star because the manager called herself trying to intimidate me in which I checked her with class and gave her constructive criticism if I'm paying damn near $20 for turkey meatloaf that's normally pretty decent even though I season my food afterwards so I give little complaints please don't try to school me about what I do best at and it's cooking the freaking meatloaf WAS NOT good! Periodt and I come to this establishment often and order Fried chicken which the spicy is great I've tried their catfish, whiting and again the turkey meatloaf and today it wasn't good if I didn't know how to prevent myself from getting sick then I would've definitely vomited I should've took a picture but I didn't want them to go out bad like that because they do give BIG portions of what you pay for however it wasn't good and the manager attitude was nasty until I schooled her on being a regular customer lol 😅 I mean the audacity yeah I'll just take my happy money elsewhere even though I told her I'll be back sure to leave how horrible my experience was after all the money I spent I will most definitely not be coming back my biggest pet peeve is getting sick from the hands of ppl I don't know but trust to know how to cook to give me a break from cooking myself but this is a constant reminder no matter how tired I am to get my butt in the kitchen and cook a guaranteed hit meal each time GOD...

traveling back from Atlanta to my Hometown made a wrong turn travel just a few blocks past the big box. Restaurants that serve terrible food low and behold I ran into MOBETTER Chicken I gotta tell you the macaroni and cheese is to die for the collards are decent lacking a little bit of flavor, but they were hot and they were good. Not the best that I’ve had. I was super excited about the fried chicken because I am a huge fan of fried chicken. I was a bit disappointed that the chicken was a bit overcooked and it was dry. Overall, I am glad that I found this place and I will go back and try other items to include the fried chicken in hopes that it will be a little bit more moist. . It appears they fried chicken and place it in a warmer while I was waiting on my food to go. They were frying chicken and it did get a bit smoky in the building, but that is I am sure due to the nature of the fried chicken Business. I wish this restaurant the best of success and hope that people go visit and eat some good southern fried chicken and oh yeah, don’t forget about that macaroni and cheese....
