For a small, out-of-the-way place, they sure do make some good Chinese food. I have wanted to try the other Chinese restaurant in Stoughton for some time now but kept forgetting when I would order take out. I was greated with friendly service. The lady behind the counter took my order with a smile and then indicated we're the condiments we're located while I was paying for it. She told me that it would be fifteen minutes until my order was ready but it only took about thirteen.
The steamed dumplings were delicious with little flecks of ginger in the filling and the dipping sauce for them was more sweet than the usual tangy flavor for them. A pleasant accompaniment for the same savory dumplings. China King uses a thin dumpling skin to wrap the filling that, while fine for holding the filling, may disappoint if you like the thicker and more chewy wrap that dumplings usually have. Being from the latter camp this may sway future decisions when I order take out.
The General Tsao's was some of the best that I have ever hand. The meat was delicate and tender with just the right amount of batter. The sauce had some kick to it and the were a couple of whole chili pods in the sauce. I like heat so they were welcome. The broccoli was crisp but tender with a fresh flavor that left me wanting more than the four pieces that cell with my order. The rice was cooked perfectly and formed a nice bed for my entree.
It's nice to know that two good Chinese restaurants can exist in Stoughton. There are some differences between them but that can be a good thing. I will be back and I would recommend China King if you want good...

Their food was tasteless and the prices where were about the same as the other places. The only thing I can say about this place is that their crab Rangoon was the best my girlfriend has ever had.The chicken fried rice, coconut chicken and shrimp egg rolls were really disappointing. They used salad shrimp in their egg rolls. Not good.I'm hoping I just went on a bad Friday.Best of luck if...
Read moreNo different than the rest of the garbage Chinese places around the Madison area who order from the same place but these guys for whatever reason are the most expensive. The crab Rangoon was awful and barely cooked. The general tsaos chicken had 0 heat to it and tasted like it was doused in sweet n sour sauce minus the sour part and the chicken was hardly edible. The amount of pieces I had to spit back out ended up being half the chicken I got. Either was too hard or...
