My wife and I tried a new restaurant in Stoughton, Wisconsin, called the Feiring; it was awesome. Our experience with new restaurants can be a bit hit or miss, but this one hit all the marks: food, service, and ambiance.
We each had an entrée. I had the short ribs; my wife had the salmon. Each was cooked perfectly and served piping hot. Our server, Noah, was attentive but did not hover. He was pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the dinner menu and the wine list. A great deal of attention and tender loving care has been bestowed on the building. It appears to be a complete remodel and renovation, making for a great dining experience. Chef Ryan, the owner, greeted us and ensured everything was to our liking. That was a nice touch.
Perhaps the best thing I can say is that now that we have eaten at the Feiring, we will soon return bringing our friends. I’ll rate this restaurant five stars and give it...

Surprisingly, it was a warm dish—unexpected given the menu description. It felt more like a twist on the classic rather than the traditional preparation.
Service was slowwwww, despite arriving after the typical dinner rush. Our server apologized on behalf of the kitchen to us and several other tables.
The chicken dish was flavorful but came bone-in, which wasn’t noted on the menu. No mention of bone-in or ‘airline’ style. The short ribs were solid—nicely cooked and paired well with the mashed potatoes and roasted carrots.
The space itself is very nice. You can tell they put care into the recent remodel—great atmosphere and...
Read moreI had the special of the evening Korean chicken with a gochujang sauce and a buttermilk biscuit and was glad I did. My wife had the salmon and liked how they cooked the potatoes with salt and vinegar which tasted like the chips. The menu might be smaller but the food was excellent. They have a large wine menu, NA mocktail and beer selection too. I got one of the NA Kentucky Burbon mocktails which was refreshing with its nice herbal taste. My wife complimented how clean the bathrooms were. We’ll definitely be back but make sure to make a reservation if you’re coming on a show nite as it’s a popular place to eat...
