I’ve been a longtime customer who has usually had enjoyable experiences at this location. However, the other day was not one of them.
I was extremely specific regarding my order. Asked for bagel sandwiches to be toasted first then toasted after putting the sandwiches together like they normally do (I.e., make them a bit crispy golden brown). I asked for mine to have well done bacon and Swiss with a splash of spicy mustard on an everything bagel. My wife wanted the cheesy hash brown bagel with ham and American cheese.
We got barely toasted bagels. I got the ham and American on mine. My wife got the Swiss and not well done bacon with mustard on hers. We tried to switch them around to correct their mistake but it was a mess because of the melted cheese. Very disappointing for $17 (inc tip).
I tried calling. No one answers. I wanted to call customer care but you can only contact them on line. I wrote them about this and no response. I will not be returning. It’s a shame because normally I have had tasty, enjoyable experiences.
FOLLOW UP: They responded to this review immediately. I did as instructed and reached out to them. I’ve yet to hear back (as again, all correspondence is via their on line site). Done wasting my time on...
Read moreOverall wasn't bad. I was told that they ran out of the hash brown bagels to make the SIGNATURE EGG SANDWICHES DOUBLE-STACK. I also asked for it without chipotle mayo. I agreed to get it on the cheesy bagel. i’ll never understand people and full services messing up orders when they have a screen directly in front of them that tells you exactly how the customer prefers to have their order made. I was called up to the counter and called that the lady preparing my food, put the chipotle, mayo on the bagel, but quickly took it off. They did not have any more of the cheesy bagel but once more available, she agreed to remove the sandwich. I agree to just leave it as is because she wiped off most of that ingredient. But my point is in food services. You have the screen in front of you that tells you what each order is and how the customer would prefer it to be made. I understand that she would’ve been used to how the sandwiches normally made but… You...
Read moreIf I could give this a no-star rating I absolutely would! Brueggers used to be one of the gold standards in bagels. I understand having a bad experience at a restaurant, so I always give at least a second chance. After this last (and third) terrible experience, I am done. The man (who I believe is the owner) is always curt and rude. I have overlooked this gross display of customer service because the food was at least decent. However, even the food has been mediocre, at best. This last visit they were out of several items including eggs and lettuce. What? You are literally less than 1/8 of a mile away from a grocery store! And after asking for three different items they did not have, I was handed one of the thinnest sandwiches I have ever purchased for a whopping $7.80!! With so many other restaurants in the area, I'm done...
